For me it is the hitter who comes to the plate thinking where am I going to hit the ball and not
IF I am going to hit the ball. Why? Because we do not have a strike zone, we have a hitting zone and we can hit a pitch that is 5 to 8 inches off the plate and we only want the
blind umpire to call safe or out as it is my job as a hitter to determine what I can hit and blue has nothing to do with that. :lmao: My job is how can I get on base or can I advance the runner. Where is the defense going to give me the greatest opportunity to put the ball in the dirt, the grass or the parking lot?
When I am playing defense, hit the ball to me and I will make the play as the pitcher can not be expected to strike every hitter out she faces and the catcher can not throw every runner out. However as a team we can probably beat who ever we are playing because we are playing one more second, one more minute, one more hour, one more game than the other team is willing to play as they probably only practice once a week!
We are all important in winning and take the responsibility if we loose as we are a team.
The only people that think other wise are the coaches or parents!
