We had the honor of dinner last night with Crystl Bustos at her favorite local restaurant. Good time for the young ladies on our team and we got to get all of the "GOT BUSTOS" shirts signed that were hot off the press. I'll get some pic's posted when we get back from the tourney.

Don't have much experience with USSSA and this is our first World Series. Must be theirs too. us and a team from Canada only had 2 pool games scheduled while 2 other teams had 4 pool games scheduled so they had to fix that. The late afternoon games scheduled at our complex, Kent State U had to be moved to another complex because little league games were scheduled. Think they would have know that before they scheduled this shindig. NO fences. Little tourneys in little Wilmington have fences but not a world series with teams from several states and even the great state of Canada. WTF??? And no walking taco's!!!

Some of the best ump's I have seen this year but the bar was lower then normal.

We did win both our games today...Yeah!

Met a bunch of Akron Pride and USSSA Pride players. Getting in to that game was another very disorganized fiasco but fun game.

lost first game today, won 2nd game 12-0 in 3 innings, and played the most intense game of our season vs Matt's Classics team. Final was 8-6 Static. Matt has in incredible team and I really hated seeing us battle in the loser's bracket. To his credit there were some questionable umpire calls (like 3 or 4) and they had played three games before us. I'm sure that helped because their defense is very good and the small ball and game play is very solid as well. Again, it was an honor to play them and we got lucky. Our girls slammed the ball the last two games of the day. Maybe the appearance by Crystl inspired them. Whatever it was it was awesome. 20 runs in 2 games. Nice job ladies.
