Who's who on OFC?

Not that it really matters who I am but I thought this might be a safe enough topic to get into. I started the Diamonds & Dreams fastpitch Academy 15 years ago and have (let's blow some minds away with this one) 49 years of experience in this game. Doesn't mean I know anything, just means I'm old and worn out. Some of you that actually think 20+ years is outrageous to be in this sport, just try my life. I still don't understand how people live "normal" lives without softball. Is there such a thing? In a week I'll be eligible for SS. And that does NOT mean Shortstop this time.

I'll be at Rumpke this week-end getting more of the really bad tan that was started at the last tournament that I attended.

Ps. What the heck is a "walking" taco? I usually just have to have my hot dogs and soft pretzels. Am I missing something here?

Well, my DD got on this one first...I figured she would.. I am the head coach for the 12U Heath Crush!! I am usually wearing the opposite color of our team on the field, but not the real big guy, he is one of my assistants. I am the one at third base and I usually have as much if not more energy than the girls. ( that is only during the games because between games I crash as I have probably been up for over 24 hours! - I work 3rd shift and weekends-

Everyone has thier sacrafices, mine is sleep..

I have met only a few of the OFC'ers this year and would love to meet more, so if your see me out there some weekend, and Im awake.. Say hi

Chris,
Don't try a Walking Taco, you'll get hooked and they are not good for you. I said the same thing last year, got talked into trying one and now I'm afraid to have my blood pressure or cholesterol checked! They take a bag of Frito's, open it and pour in some chili then top it off with cheese. ;D

Sent you a PM

Thanks for the warning. But I'm ok. I'm already taking meds for hi blood pressure (too many years coaching) and cholestrol (too many years coaching and eating fast food with teams) so I can now eat anything I want. lol..... And die a quick death. I'd just need to add some extra prilosec that evening before trying to sleep with that taco thing in my system. I think I'll stick to my plain hot dogs.

Im the tall, lean, Brad Pitt looking cat that you will always see holding a camera when his dd is playing ball for the Cincy Doom `95 team. Usually somewhere close to the backstop where I can get some 'ESPN' shots. Im usually quiet, unless the ump makes a bad call on my girl ?>:(
Last year we were touring with the Lady Irish 10u out of Toledo.

SIDE NOTE..................
Those that have met me or that know me are probably still busting up laughing at the LEAN and BRAD PITT LOOKING comment! ? ? ?LOL!

Also you will see me chasing down walking tacos and drinks for the wife and chasing our other 3 kids around the park. If you have ever met my 3 year old boy you would know what the heck Im talking about!!!!!!!!

Seeing that my identity is top secret, I'm unable to fully disclose who I am at this time. Now if you have top secret clearence through either Johnnies or BearMay, and are willing to buy me walking tacos on occasion, then I will be happy to PM you with the neccessary clues...lol. ?;D

Will a beer work, cause I know Johnnies will give me clearance when I bribe him with a walking taco.

Some of you know me already. I am the assistant coach for the twisters 16U team, daughter no longer plays, but i still love coaching. I am the face of the organization here on OFC and basically do all the organizational stuff. Oh yeah, I am also the tournament director for the Twisters Summer Blowout and the Twisters Fall Frenzy.

In my spare time, I still play softball and occassionly see my wife and dogs.

look me up at any tourney, I will be the one getting girls thrown out on the bases from the 3rd base coaches box. poor girls!

This is a good post that I have filed away and I hope to meet all of you....well, except Daddy Dice...I do not want to be guilty by association :) j-k

I coach the 14 U Hawks and usually have a boy and girl 2 year old twins trailing me between games. I like to chit chat with anyone concerning softball so feel free to cut me off if I hold you up with a tangent. I also make post under my co-coaches username (bigredmachine) when using the shared computer that I can not always log on to for some reason.

See you die hards at the park.

I have been around many teams over the years and I think I know many of the great people on this site. Got to finally run into Bretman at Columbus NSA. Bink, ran into him 3 years ago. You will be surprised how many posters you run into at camps. Ran into many at the Ohio Wave Camp. Nice complex. Now I know why Greenville High school is tough. Ran into Coop at a camp and that is why my dd is currently playing for the 13U sting rays. When I see coaches trying to better themself, that says a bunch to me. Her third team, last two programs folded. Not coaching travel this year. Still active on two other older teams and working with our high school program. Trying to pass on Howard's knowledge that I'm learning from him. This is my second time around, my oldest played back in the 90's and I coached her teams. . My wife told me it's been a long time since we had a true summer vacation. Last year we were in NJ-NY, but it was softball. Enjoyed the game at Ashland when team USA played Monday. Ran into many friends that post on this site. Told Johnnies that I wanted to tell Joe A goodluck. Another great organization with great parents and kids.

lakeerie,

man, don't you just love the little ones? 2 years ago, older sister loses her little brother (3) who was found petting a dog just a game away, my son, age 4, this year, can't get enough of running the bases....you can usually find little statman running around and forgetting to slide at home like his princess of an older sister....and little statbaby doesn't sit like a good little baby...if she's not eating, she's screaming for the Classics or crawling for food.
