Woul you rather have 50 top teams or 12 top teams?

If you have a choice of being in a tournament with the top 50 teams from a multi-state area or of the top 12 teams from the same area, which would you pick??
For argument say, let's assume that the bottom 38 teams are just as competitive as the top 12.

if the bottom 38 are truly 'just as competative' it would be hard to eliminate them with a pencil, who would decide who the top 12 are? if it was decided by limited births ( how do you make the top 12 go to the correct tournaments ) maybe. Why the number 12, why not top 25 ( would hate to be #26 ). Heck, if you are going to limit it to twelve, why not just assign the placements and save everyone the money and time?

I think that I would pick the tournament with the 50 because you would get to see some teams that you normally don't run into but if there were that many I would hope to see more than 3 pool games or possibly double elimination.???

Anna, I am not saying to limit it... it is just the numbers that registered for a particular tournament... maybe one had a smaller complex...... you have two choices... which one would you chose?
