well, take it from this post what you will.
Lasers White's coaches are all "dads". guess what they finished--9th at ASA nationals for the 16u division. So it cant be all that bad
there are some coaches, like johnnies, D. beckham, others that dont have daughters, neices, grand-daughters, neighbors on the team, but in their defense if you were creating a team from the ground up, you're saying you wouldn't tell your best friend that hey we have a spot for your DD? come on! and two, for all those dads walking the foul lines, shaggin balls, taking score, should be commended for taking their time from their wives and other kids by helping coach softball. It doesn't gaurantee a spot anywhere, and for me I had to learn that the hard way, it also doesn't gaurantee you sucess or a starting position, or even the fresh gossip after the game. What it gives you is the satisfaction of being there. I figure with DD going into 18's, i'm going to sit this year out, be a fan for once. let some other dad stress about getting there early, about lineups and soft tossing and pumping up the girls. I'll be relaxing playing catch with little statman. and i'll bet i'll have more fun just watching. thumbs up to all the dads out there, may someone create a bud light commercial just for you
