Then why is she on the team? That sounds like daddy ball to me. Let's put her on the team, just because she is little susie's friend. Then let her pitch too, because she pouts and doesn't perform. When she has to play outfield. Sounds like rec ball/daddy ball

That would be ideal if every team could get a stud at every position. But the fact is that doesn't happen. You play the player were it makes you a better team. It sounds like daddy ball when it about one player and not what is best for the team. Fact is most girls who are talented enough to play in college play a different position then what they did in high school/travel ball.

Lets see how many of these teams will exist and how many of these coaches will still coach when their daughters are no longer playing.

Ouch... Not a fair statement....I think I'd be divorced if I kept coaching and would still love to volunteer my time but traveling 3/4 days a week for work crimps even rec ball..... But I will give my time one tourney a year doing whatever I can those days to let parents who kids are playing watch their kids play instead of working a shift somewhere....
