I found this odd as well, and do not understand the meaning behind it at all. Someone could have just gone ahead and forfeited all three of their first games, only played the bracket games that mattered, and kept their team fresh for the playoff bracket games, and come in and whipped all of us? Unrealistic, I know, but hey stranger things have happened I'm sure. Especially since alot of these teams were there all day today, and had to play late, and their girls were just plain exhausted. I felt bad for some of them.
What was the point of even playing pool games if you didn't earn a good seed?
Like I said, I don't understand. Surely someone can explain to all of us?
Nice facility, nice people. It was a "learning experience" that's for sure.

@ 10u and 12u the more games you play the better , especially dome ball...look @ it as much needed reps for Summer..and there is no reason that a coach can't move his or her kids around to different position to see where the best fits are ...again for summer. PLus it is usually the parents and coaches that get exhausted after a day @ the dome, not the kids....adrenaline is wonderful thing,LOL

Thanks for the clarification Viper_22. Last week for the 14u's they changed it to be a REAL seeding and I thought they would do the same for the 12's.

What Times are the Championship Game going to be played ?

Alot of the nationals do blind draw bracket play too, its really not that bad. Like you I prefer seeding based on pool record but that has its faults too. I think most teams are aware of the bracket seating before the tourney, one thing it really allows is teams to play everybody and not fear getting a bad draw due to their pool ranking. Its better for the kids that might not be starters.

Congratulations to the three teams that went undefeated in "pool play":Lady Lasers

The seeding process would have placed the Lady Lasers and Pittsburgh Freedom in #1 and #2 seed. In three games both gave up 3 runs and both scored 16 against their opponets. Not sure what third tie breaker would be, but can not determine that just by scores posted on the website.
Anyway--Good Luck to those playing today. And thanks for a fun time, it is always nice to get dirty. Met alot of nice players and families from other teams, and ran across some old friends as well.

That great can't make the 10u, but may try to make the 12 under Championship game. If I do come up. I'll try to get there by 3:45 to get Team info to do game.

We lost 6-2 in elimination to a very good Stingrays team We jumped on them to go ahead 2-0 but could not hold on. I would say I was very proud of my girls we sure have come a long way. We may have had the hardest schedule there but really enjoyed the opportunity to play some of the elite teams around. You have to set the bar high and play the best to improve.

Oh yeah, the short old umpire with glasses loved to call strikes literally 6 inches outside the plate.....and call perfect strikes as balls....on both teams. Think he needs to update his eyeglass prescription. Worst I've seen at the plate in a loooooooong time.
