I am a little bias, (for obvious reasons) toward the Diamonds Hecker Team! They have had an excellent start this fall with two attempts and two tournament championships, (Vipers ENQ and Marion Bash ENQ). Very impressive; and accomplished their wins with an incomplete team! They are still looking to fill a couple of spots. Hats off to Jeremy and his coaching staff! I also have to mention coach Bob Fitzpatrick for getting this core group together and spending hours and hours developing these young ladies. Look out for the Central Ohio Storm 10U. They will also win some big games.

No venom was not 9u. Im sure most teams do have some 9yr olds. I think we have several also. Venom played a very solid game. Sounds to me like someone does not know how to share the spotlight....lol. Your lasers head coach is wonderful. Thanks Lee for the text congratulating madison for their win. He's a class act. It was a hard decision on which team to go with. Lasers or north coast. I think either would have been a win win situation. Both great coaches..Hey ladylaser01.. Yeah your team is good. Remember Madison made that team as a pitcher, so dont knock us till you play us lol let the games begin;&

Is there a team in 10u that is bringing back 4 or more starters from the previous year? If so, there is a team to look at. How bout a team that has 5 or more experienced travel ball players. It is hard to rank the 10's so early unless we are familar with what they might have done the previous year with much of the same girls.

As far as the so called 10U High Level teams. They change from year to year in 10U. You only get respect by going to the Tougher Tournaments and playing late on Sunday. Building confidence by playing a weaker schedule is good at times, but playing tough teams every week really gets your team ready for the big Tournaments.

I really enjoyed the last 3 years coaching the 10's.

I seen the North cost spirits and they are a very good hitting team, you surly cannot count this team out. Not sure what schedule they will play but you should keep your eye on them, they have the best catcher I have seen at this age. I also seen the silver Creek Stars and I believe they are a very well coached team with some really good ball players (this is the best team I have seen at the 10u age so far this year). If you are in Strongsville this weekend go watch them.

Thanks for the kind words Short. We are returning most of our team from last year and scooped up a couple from other orgs. We certainly took a lot of lumps last year but hopefully it will pay off this year. We played North Coast a little while back and they will certainly be a team should do well on Sundays. I am looking to see where my Starz stand, so anyone who wants a scrimage, we are up for it. Best of luck to all next summer. See you in Strongsville this weekend.

Poll of only Ohio teams??

1 Lasers Green
2 Stingrays
3 Buckeye Heat-Gill
4 Marion Diamonds
5 Ohio Storm

Would be my top five from what I've seen at this point. It's early still and teams are still being built.

Hey Adam congrats on the tournament win. Good luck the rest of the season. Sounds like somebody isn't too happy you guys might be pretty good this year.

I dont remember seeing a 10u lasers team last year, so I guess they havent won anything yet either. I believe last years 10u lasers actually folded before completing the season.

Lasers did fold last season do to the coach having some issues. They had the girls. And like Jeff said Bristow absorbed a few and I know at least a couple went back to the Lasers this season. Lasers will be very strong this season, Lee Pyles and Eric Troutman are coaching them this year. Both Pyles and Troutman are good coaches and they don't give up. They should be a force this summer.

Also FYI: I had a chance to see the 10u North Coast team play this past weekend in our backyard at "Fastpitch for Freedom" They will be a tough team to beat this summer!!

You have to love the "passion" in the 10u division. There should be some type of retreat for 10u parents entering travel ball like the NFL does for rookies. Although it may take away some of the more entertaining threads here on OFC, LOL

You are a real tool. If you are the coach organization should be ashamed that

you represent them.

I know for a fact he is not the coach, the head coach i think hates all this. He has been around this sport for way to long to get involved in this. This does not represent any lasers coach.

I would like to take this time to apoligize for the remarks posted by LADYLASERS01 towards the North Coast Spirit and Venom Fastpitch. At this time I do not know if it's actually one of our family members or someone posing as connected to the Lady Lasers Green 10U. Non the less I have addressed this issue both via email to our Laser familiy and a telephone call to Gene May of OFC. Again I apoligize, as this type of conduct is unacceptable.

Sincerely,

I had the pleasure of umpiring the North Coast Spirit last weekend . I have umpired hundreds of 10-U teams and this NC Spirit is the real deal . As somebody else has already posted MAN WHAT A CACTHER !!!!!! . They could use a little more work on their pitching ....but a very solid defense and an aggressive offense .....that = lots of score . I can also add that the coaching was very pleasant to work with.

Definitely the best teams we've seen this fall are the Gators and Lee's Lasers (like my other coach noted). I'm looking forward to seeing ALL the good teams play at some time. I'm happy to see lists like this surface so I know who to call for games and who to look for in tourneys. Good luck to all the 10U teams and hope to see you on the field!

If you are ever looking for someone to play, give me a call. :)

That's the first thing I had to get use to when coming back down to 10's, parents are just like most of the players we coach, new to all this or have very little perspective.

The old saying is you can tell what age is playing based on the number of parents behind the backstop lol

Wow this is awesome to see. Its been a few years since I have seen 10U's this fired up. Parents chest bumping, little ball players leaving it all on the field. Make sure your teams post your schedule on here for 2012 so we can watch some of these talents play.

Lee sounds like 10U from a few years back.

Sounds like a talented group should be fun seeing how this unfolds . I know Lee and I'm sure he doesnt approve of the Ladylasers01 comments ,seems a little fishy to me , but good stuff none the less.

Not real happy with a few members - it's 10U folks; they're a long way from even being considered for the next level, so cool it. I've cleaned out the trash talk (and some of the related carnage due to replies), and don't want to see it again. If I do, several people will have an early winter vacation from posting.....

Sorry Gene,

I ask the question if Venom was a 9u team. I've never heard of them? Read this post. All this over asking if a team was a 9u team or not. Did I say anything bad about North Coast or the girls? And neither team has the same softball history winning big tournaments as the Lasers or Stingrays is that wrong to say? Those coaches, players and parents worked hard to build there reputation by putting in the hard work, playing in the tough tournaments year in year out and traveling all over the country playing the best teams they could play. And there are plenty of others who I failed to mention. This is my third time through so I know about the time, effort, work, and money spent building them wasn't easy! I never said either club wouldn't or couldn't do the same thing in time. It wasn't earned by just being loud on OFC! This is why I never joined with OFC in the past. It was the RenMad who took offense when I ask the 9u question. Then started talking about how " there dd " made the lasers as a pitcher but turned us down. Then went on to say bring it on challenging us. Then saying let the games begin and someone didn't like sharing the spot light. Was all that called for? And Really what spot light? The one you shine on yourself? I wasn't looking for any spot light I was trying to find out whom all the top 10u teams were and to share my thoughts on teams I've seen play just like the post ask. Was that wrong? Go back and look at the "just" of all the post and see who you really think sparked this fury. Sorry to our coach if I upset you and what I said has no reflection on the coaches feeling obviously. Also I thought OFC was a place to state your opinion . And this poll was created to state your opinion and rank teams where we thought they fit. I guess not. Sorry again Gene.

Thank you...Sorry I started this thread. Didn't know it would get this bad in this age division. They are just little girls that want to have fun and learn something.
