I haven't seen ANY of the 10U teams play yet. This is my first year in travel and cant wait to go down to CSU to watch the Holiday Classic. We are a 9U team but we are gonna play 10U for the experience and to get the girls ready for the next 2-3 years! Good luck to EVERYONE this summer and let's have some fun...ESPECIALLY THE GIRLS!!!

I am glad to see the Wolfpack made a list. They are going to be a hard team to beat with that stud pitcher. But I am a little disappointed that the Thunder Elite hasn't made anyone's list. Anyone know how they look this year?

Good scrimmage? Lol i feel bad we didnt give u one . I think r girls were sleeping. Taking nothing from u. U guys did great. Solid team, but ive never seen us play such a bad game ever. Ugh

This thread has become annoying. renmad,,,,,, way to make excuses. you have been on this thread talking your team up getting mad about everything and now making excuses for a loss? grow up and learn some sportsmanship. take your losses, learn something from it and congratulate the other team. the excuses make me want to go crazy. get over yourself.

here is my 2 cents about scrimmages.... I dont know what other teams / coaches do but i know that when we scrimmage teams it is just that, a scrimmage. These are used to try out girls at different positions, try new defensive plays and rotations, maybe get a new slapper slapping for the first time, try and get experience delay stealing etc... it is a huge learning tool that helps us fine tune our team for Spring and summer tournaments, when it really counts. Scrimmages dont mean anything and we usually dont even keep track of the score. Any polls based from scrimmages dont mean squat either IMHO. When there's 2 umps and its Saturday morning in the Spring and your putting your A team out there, then its game time but as far as I am concerned, scrimmages are PRACTICE....... so, lets not get to excited about any scores in scrimmages. When we played Bristow a couple weeks ago we changed girls at EVERY position every 2 innings; do you think that we are going to do that in a real game? lol i dont think so......... so I wouldn't take these scrimmages too seriously guys.

Talk is great, but Stingrays is offering a great opportunity to settle this matter on the field. We have three open spots for the first three teams to get in with a paid entry. If you weren't paying attention on the tournament thread, something like 90 teams from Ohio and several surrounding states applied at 16u for 32 spots. That means that most of those teams who applied didn't get in! Obviously competition to get in becomes extremely fierce the older our kids get. What better opportunity than now to experience what it's all about without having to worry about whether your team can make the selection cut? I have seen and been to Nationals events with fewer 10u teams than what we already have coming and by the list of teams already signed up, the competition will be outstanding. So far teams from 5 states are represented including Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana. Check it out:

THANKS ERIC... WOLFPACK IS WORKING HARD. Was at the Scrimmage on Saturday. Both teams looked good! 8-10 p.m. is a hard days work for any 10u girl I know. To the Northcoast parents...I know the drive was rotten, heard a couple talking about the guardrail you hit on the way down....

Terry is a fantastic coach! I know that they will play hard. Northcoast is lightning fast. If your catcher falls asleep, they will score all over you.

And...when the rest stop talking...you will realize that the "new cheers" that 10u learns in a scrimmage are bigger than the trophies...you will have figured out this age group!

Did anyone else take that offensive? I said " they did great and have a solid team? I think they were amazing. i said i think our girls were sleeping. You didnt see the game a lot of mistakes which is what these scrimmages are for.. Dont over analyze my words. Did not mean if we slept well and ate 2 bowls of wheaties and if the moon was rising over jupiter we would have won.. was not making excuses .Read my posts no were am i bragging about our team and noooo where have i said anything at all negative about another team. There are a lot of good teams out there and i love watching them play. Love the game. Let me guess Laserlady 01 returns...LOL not going to banter back and forth. Lifes too short amen! Yes it was offensive to down play the play of an opposing team in light of telling them they did great to cover it up. At the same time making excuses, saying your team was "asleep" and "I've never seen us play such a bad game"... Is that good sportsmanship? Really? Especially when a few weeks ago you said your team deserved to be on the top 10 list. Is that giving the other team there due credit? When their team was nice enough to post it so it looked close at 8-5 when it was not! Saying nothing negative about your team at all. They said thanks for a good scrimmage and you belittled that sarcastically questioning it in opening your post. He even detailed the way the scrimmage went. Because it was exactly that, a scrimmage. To look at the players over the winter to see where they fit. Why didn't you say our coaches didn't prepare our team for the game and there coaches did? Or simply understand there only 9-10 now and scrimmages are for learning not bragging or making excuses about wins or loses. Learning! Learning for the coaches, players, and the parents that want to work with them on there own time. You have a lot to learn and fast about sports before you get a reputation you cant reverse. It's a small world. You only make yourself and org look bad. Your team/ org should ban you from this site until you learn to control yourself, show some class and sportsmanship. It directly reflects NC Spirit.
