hehe...there;s just something about all of us here that always extend any slammer news to 50 or more posts...must be something in the water...my experiment in the fall will be, post a new thread simply titled "slammers" and see what happens

. ?. ??its like saying the Steelers of the 70's were better than the niners of the 80's and the cowboys of the 90's. ?

Thank goodness, Adam did not invoke his Da**** Yankees.
For the record, I vote that the '70s Steelers were, are, and will continue to be the best ever pro football teams (OK, maybe a little bias on my part).

Well the Yankees are only the second best baseball/softball team in history, right behind the slammers. just kidding of course.

I too have seen the Slammers play. I will say that lil' third baseman is tough!!!

I just don't understand why HockeyBuckeye started this, since his daughter plays 16U for a team that has nothing to do with the Slammers.

Since Bigtrain was mentioned in this post I'm surprised LadyKnights hasn't jumped in on it.

Edamame touched on something here. These girls are ConnecteD and I think that is a part of the 'recruiting' issue. People know people and well do i need to say more?! These girls are awesome players for 12U, but their coaches/parents have unbelievable experiences in softball. Have you checked out their website? Do you see how many coaches/assistants/consultants they have?? Our 14U team hung their heads when they beat us in the Willoughby Championship 4-0 -- because they are 12U -- but then we checked out their website and said WoW! We really didn't know too much about them, but we do now! Our girls had much difficulty trying to hit the pitcher because of the exceptional movement -- not fast -- but movement that they had not seen. Three really bad errors cost us in the bottom of 6th inning and we left runners on 3rd more than once. Hoping for a rematch at GAPSS:) They are a great team and are obviously very commited to the sport.

Saw the girls play and they are a strong team with a good team attitude. This thread isn't about the girls .... more about someone's ego. Pretty sorry if you ask me.

Come on, time to grow up and let the girls play!

Do losses count in your overall record when you play up an age group?

Please try to pay attention LADY_KNIGHTS!!!!

WINS - count
LOSSES - don't count

Same for indoor tourneys, we went over this before.

Thanks Ringer. I watched them lose twice this weekend at GAPPS and end up going home early. Wether or not a teams plays up the losses do count for anbody else.
