Any explanation on the changing from 2 berths to one?

You guys must think I'm a miracle worker...LOL ?Sorry I didn't think to ask, but I never heard that they were awarding 2 berths. I think that was someone's assumption because Region 9 had 2 to give away, and only 1 Regional tourney.

An email I just received from the TD said everyones first games would remain at the same time, and that an updated schedule would be handed out at check in......

First round of bracket games will be finished up at 9AM Sunday morning. Then on with the rest of bracket play.

When I left, Huricane Gold was playing The Freeze in the winners bracket
Classics were playing the Rebels in the losers bracket, with the Buckeye Heat waiting to play the winner

We had a tough day. Beat the Rebels in ITB in the morning, had to rush over to another field and play the Huricanes, then rush over to another field to play the Buckeye Heat. The two teams in the other semi final game of the winners bracket played before us this morning then had the rest of the morning off. back to back to back games did us in. Would have been nice to have a game off like everyone else.

At least we were able to play 7 inning games instead of 50 min jokes

Games got a little behind, but we just kept going on. Everything was 1 hour and 40, and double elimination. With only 8 teams in the 16U it worked out to be alot of games back to back with little or no breaks.

Ohio Freeze looked really tough this weekend, and they were missing there #1 pitcher as well. Tri County Hurricanes Gold were equally tough making it to the final of the winners bracket.

The Classics and Heat used up alot of energy beating up on each other this weekend, and I think just ran out of gas.

Lady Laser Blue 18U beat the Thunderbolts 8 to 0 and the Vipers 9 to 1 to end both games early and win the Region 9 championship.
