Congrats Ted, Carol and crew! What a joy it was to get the text from Ted while in my box seat at Wrigley watching the Reds beat the Cubs. That's my kind of day.

I could not be more excited for the entire Heat 95 team. I make an annual decision on whether to attend the 16-U A Nats for recruiting, but I know now I'll be attending next year.

Great Championship Game! Ohio Ice Silver was honored to be in the Championship game representing Ohio with the Buckeye Heat. You have a great team! We certainly worked hard to get to that game on Sunday. We played at 8, 10 and noon to meet you there (all after our late game against you Saturday night). What a thrill for both teams! CONGRATS to all the girls and coaches for such a successful weekend. O-H I-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad that you mentioned how many games Ice Silver played on Sunday. I had included that in a post that the hotel internet ate last night. Three tough games in a row in some stifling heat before the championship game. What troopers on your team. We hope your catcher, who appeared to the umpire to actually have heat exhaustion, has fully recovered. The schedule coupled with the heat really did stack the deck against the team coming out of the loser's bracket.

Keep us in mind for scrimmages once HS ball is done next spring. And congrats again on a great tournament.
