Uber, This could present a problem. As you know, I live in a house with FOUR women. :( Hence The Man Cave. :) I guess I could wave the secret handshake for one meeting. I want to make it clear that this is NOT setting precedent, this is a one time only free pass for the ladies. I don't want my girls thinking it is ok to enter the MAN CAVE!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

No Ladies means no ladies. Since I clean up after them now, I don't think they will serve or clean up in the MAN CAVE. There has been a thought to install a combination lock on the Man Cave door. I know this might sound a bit extreme, but anyone who lives with all women would understand. A man can only take so much Hallmark movies, Oprah, HGTV, MTV, Oxygen, Dr.Phil, High School Musical, ect.ect.ect. I'm sure you can feel my pain. Don't get me wrong I love my girls, but I need my ESPN, MLB, NFL, UFC, HBO Boxing, and College hoops :)

Thunder, I just can't sit and watch cars go in circles for hours. Give me the last 10 laps and I can do it. The best time to watch NASCAR is on Sportscenter. You see the crashes and who won. :)

All right can we get back on topic??? This is the NLL 2008 Thread!

I personally do not know why they even call racing a sport ?unless it is a leg race.

Car racing---car does the work
Horse Racing- Horse does the work
Camel Racing- Camels do the work

It does not take much athletic ability to race somthing. If you take a baseball player he may also be a pretty good Basketball/football player. I'm not sure if you can say that for racers. ?;) ;D

Fastpitchfan my brother, I think you might have gone too far on this one. Thunder is going to release the thunder for that comment. >:( IMO Race car drivers are athletes. Although they are sitting the whole time, you have to be in shape to handle the car. You are on your own on this one my friend. :)

Your not on your own fastpitchfan, I agree with you what makes these guys ATHLETES???? Because they can drive for hours without going POTTY ?????? I know it takes some kind of smarts to drive in a circle, and turn left. If any one in that "sport" should be called ATHLETES it is the guys jumping over the walls dodging cars, tires and each other. Next thing you know some one is going to call Norm Duke an ATHLETE :D :D :D By the way any updates on softball ;D ;D

your right on my P burg friend......

Being in shape does not make you an Athlete. I have know many guys that were in shape that couldnt catch afootball, hit a baseball/softball or dribble there way out out of a box.

Now I will agree that they have to be in shape to drive those cars. But lets face it everyone I know can drive. I do not know one person that can consistantly shoot 3 pointers and slam dunk a basketball.

When you are an Athlete you at least can play multiple sports. You may thrive at one but you can still function out there. There may be some drivers that are athletes that just happen to drive. But just because you race dose not make you an athlete.

This might date myself ...but did you ever see a nascar drive on the " Superstars" athletic compettion? ::)

And Uber----gotta say, those were a couple o' bizarre posts about your granny!?!? lol ;D

OUCH OUCH OUCH and more OUCHES !!!

Hey you guys, I just happen to love stock car racing. I wasn't planning on trying to make it an OLYMPIC event.

Since this thread is just all beat to hooey, why don't we bash ESPN for airing "POKER". When in God's green earth did that become a sport. I was at BW3's for lunch awhile back complaining about the "BIG SCREEN SPORTS SELECTION" of POKER and ESPN CLASSIC BOWLING. I went home that very day and as I was surfing through the old cable channels I come across,......................................................................prepare yourself,.....on ESPN 2,........
International Doubles DOMINOES,.....are you kidding me. One of the players received a warning for giving his opponent a dirty look. Maybe ESPN can get a sponsor or two to cough up some money to cover CHURCH BASEMENT BINGO, complete with a kitchen reporter for the snacks being served and aspecial segment or two about bingo card selection, and bingo ball calling. Finally, something Brent Musberger might have a clue about.

I think by Nov. 2nd we ought to start a new 2008 NLL thread. That way we can all talk about the candy we stole from our kids after Halloween on Nov. 1st.

I agree with Thunder on the poker.... dont get me started. I hate that ESPN puts poker on.

Bowling is more of a sport than poker.....
