ASA Tournament 2010 Ohio Stingrays College Exposure Showcase Information

The Ohio Stingrays and its Board of Directors would like to thank the softball community for supporting our tournament with their applications. For the record, there were a total of (186) applications broken down as follows:

10U = (8) applications for (8) playing slots
12U = (22) applications for (16) playing slots
14U = (47) applications for (24) playing slots
16U = (70) applications for (32) playing slots
18U = (39) applications for (32) playing slots

The selection meeting was held last night to determine the playing field. Based on the information presented in the applications, the Board of Directors has put together the most competitively diverse field that was possible. The depth of the application pool was very deep this year and obviously there were decisions made that will not possibly be able satisfy all (186) teams, especially the hotly contested older age groups.

I will notify all teams of their playing status before the weekend is over. It will take a while to put the e-mails together to make sure the correct information goes to the correct team. After all of teams that are playing in the tournament have responded via e-mail that they have accepted the conditions of entry (proof of insurance, ASA Sanction, playing times, display of sportsmanship, etc.) and all of their entry fee checks have been cashed and cleared at the bank, I will post the playing field on our 2010 tournament web sight @ http://10tourney.stingraysfastpitch.com/ and in this thread. Again, posting the field will take more than a few days since the tournament is a "night" job and not a "day" job. Thank you for your patience.

Buckeye Heat 95 team doesn't like losing, but we do like playing against the best, as that can only help us to see what we need to do to get better. So we always welcome an opportunity to play Cincy Doom 95.

And yes, this is an extremely well run tournament. If they use the same software as in years past, you will see results virtually in real time on the net. Now all we need is good weather.

I got an email from Bill (as TD for GAPSS) stating that the Ohio Outlaws had been obsorbed into the well known Jersey Intensity organization and would now be known as the Ohio Intensity.

Regardless, the Outlaws/Intensity have always been a 14u team playing predominantly a 16u schedule.
