Great softball at Picktown today. Fun game vs. the Buckeye Heat. I totally agree on the umpiring - quite an adventure out there at times. I think final four teams are:

Our game vs. the Doom was a great game till the 5th. 3-2 but them Doom broke it open late. Congrats - girls.

See, it is possible to have a major rain delay and still have some great softball.

I hope everyone did have an enjoyable experience. I know from past experience that the Stingrays organization, Tournament officials, coaches, parents, and the girls, really work hard to make the tournament a good experience for all.

Great batch of talent n Pickerington...to bad the field ump n the second round game on field #4 had to blow several calls! One ok it happens..Two darn not r day..third/fourth comes along seriously what the ?ell r u looking at???? The outcome of that game was decided by the man n BLUE who didnt see well!!!! !!!That was One of the worst games i have seen as far as calls on the bases being BLOWN!!!!!!......very well fought game on both sides of the bench!!!!please make sure he gets a eye appt. SOON!!!!!

I just heard that there are Co Champs...Doom 95 and TNT Explosion. Game was tied 0-0 after 5 innings. Not sure if it was called for darkness or not. Congrats to both teams, it was a long day for them.

What school does she attend?

not played a HS inning yet (freshman to be ) but joins a Lucasville Valley HS team that went 27-2 this year and returns their ace. will be very strong.

sadly their HS fence is further than 200ft and most folks report never seeing a home run leave the park. I think she could challenge the HR record if she played in a more hitter friendly park. MD

boomerang's report is correct . 0-0 after 5 , game called a tie. TNT played super all weekend and doom 95 hit their stride this weekend also. ton and tons of great games all weekend with lots of lower seeds playing the higher seeds to ITB in what seemed like every game. MD

last 4 standing was Valley Ext. , cinci doom 95, TNT explosion and Pitts Roadrunners.

The number of tight competitve games was off the charts. deep deep field of teams.
Sunday was crazy. Compuware, the 24 seed, upsets Laser Black 3-2 in the early game.
NEO Dynamite plays Valley Ext. into 5 ITB innings.
Portage Co. Hurricanes play the Intensity into 2 or 3 ITB innings.
TNT beats the Intensity in ITB.
Pitts RR beats the Predators.
great day of softball , very anticlimatic to end the final after 5 innings with a tie but you can't play in the dark (at least not at Pick central)

The TNT squad is something. well coached, even keeled, never gets shook, don't give free bases away, and they are only 13u's also. great team. MD

Yes , same team --they flamed out early weekend (after playing like the Olympic team in beating us 3-2 on sat am) they played directly after game and were still celebrating maybe .

Also won a USA/ASA qualifier held in morgantown that had multiple teams in it from out of state including 2 from Ga.

I'd not be going out on a limb by saying that some that were red hot 3-4 weeks have cooled off and some that were not firing on all cylinders now have the engine running pretty well. And matchups are so huge. Mt thunder plays like a rec team VS our team but plays like champs VS Laser Black. just alot of depth, you play bad you get beat. thats my opinion. MD

I thought it was a great experience for our organization (IMPACT). We had the pleasure of competing with both TNT and Doom 95 and played them fairly close(L 6-8 V. Doom, 0-6 V. TNT but 0-1 going into the 6th) and we got a couple wins vs. some nice teams (Mt Thunder, WV and C.O Heat). The competition was excellent, facilities at Pick Central are great, they did a nice job transitioning through the rain. There were no gimmis in this tournament and thats what we like to season our predominatly 13U squad (2 14's, 2 12's). Look forward to returning in 2011. The umpires did ok..just ok, but you'll have that in a large tourny.
