Our two young coaches played in the very first tourney the Wolfpack put on and they are dead set on us playing there. They played with the Cincy Elite back in their playing days.

Westside Will you are a piece of work dude ..no doubt. Never the less, our goal is to give the teams that would not make it in the BOB ( BTW an awesome tourney) to get the college looks they are looking for close to home and I think that will still happen. As you know the BOB has downsized and many teams will still want to play.

Thanks for your concern Will.

HMM Laser Teams not going to their own tourny...... maybe certain teams should relook at which tourny to go to also. I see the University of Kentucky is now going to Best of the Best

This is definitly a team to watch out for, they have a stocked team with improved pitching this year, im sure they would be a great addition to your tournament.

Our plan is to take 30 teams in this tournament.
The field of teams will hopefully be posted tomrorrw (9/5)

Thanks.

The field of teams for the 2011 Fall Best of the Best College Showcase Tournament has been set. We have expanded the number of teams that we could take to 30, up from the projected 24 reported earlier in this thread. The only adjustment that we had to make to the format of the tournament was shortening each game by 5 minutes (from "90 MINUTES PER GAME...FINISH THE INNING" to "85 MINUTES PER GAME...FINISH THE INNING"). We also will be utilizing an additional site on Sunday, which will be finalized within the next couple of days. We felt this would be acceptable to the field of teams that registered, since this will allow more teams to participate AND will help attract additional college coaches! Re-scheduling the tournament to accommodate these changes will take a few days, so hopefully we will be sending out each team's schedules by the end of the week. These schedules will also be posted on this thread. Thanks to all of the teams that applied (37 total). It was not an easy task to cut the field to 30 teams. We're thankful that we didn't have to cut the field to 24!!

With that being said, Congratulations to the following 30 teams!!

I hear ya Woolfman. Looks like the TD's forgot about being subjective this year. Always heard you had to earn your way into this tournament based on accomplisments...guess not with at least 2 brand new first year teams on the list and others who had a mediocre summer season at best. Looks like some behind the scenes lobbying or ???? went on here IMHO
