Undoubtedly the best tourney in Ohio for getting exposure, and a relatively impressive list of colleges, but mostly D2 and smaller, a few Mid-Majors, 1 SEC, and 3 Big 10.

Food for thought...

What does this tourney need to do to bring in the heavy hitters from the SEC, Big 10, ACC, Big 12...and if we really wanted to shoot for the stars...PAC 12? Can or should anything be done with the format or selection of teams to get larger D1 schools coming to this "Showcase" event?? I have some thoughts, but I just wanted to get some dialogue going...

I think getting that level of colleges to show up is an evolution and increases at a moderate trickle with occasional jumps. Several factors I see are:

- The more successful college players that come out of Ohio will cause more attention to be paid to Ohio. This is circular as more attention is paid to Ohio the more get to larger programs which in turn.... wash rinse repeat to reach whatever Ohio has to offer.

- The more organizations conduct themselves like the Lasers, the Hawks top layer, etc. the more quality college recruits are gathered on one team therefore making a more efficient recruiter visit. What this really means is these teams are able to get into the proper tourneys and do well enough to get respect and attention.

- As the above happens more players/parents/coaches start taking this all seriously and getting their players quality instruction. This allows the players with "the burn" to maximize whatever talent they have. This creates momentum and more players/parents/coaches get caught up in it.

- And so on
