semperfi - runs scored is where the player (your DD for example) scores a run herself (crosses home plate)
RBI - runs batted in, can possibly also include your DD if she hits a bomb, but typically is someone else scoring
As for the discussion, does this mean most high school, and travel, have very few good to great hitters on average? If a very good hitter is .450 - .550, and you have a couple, along with some good hitters (.350 - .450)wouldn't there be much higher scoring games than there are? Or, are they simply padding their stats against weaker teams? If I have a player hit .500, they are awesome in my opinion. Of course, we tend to be a little harder on the hit/error concept than some others at our age group.
