Thanks for your words of encouragement and support yesterday - you are right, it is important to remember it is all about offering opportunities to the girls - we should never lose sight of that.

You inspired me through your posts to become a better coach and mother of a player when I wasn't coaching. You always put a different and eye-opening spin on topics throughout my time here at OFC. Please stay. I totally will stand behind your retirment from coaching (for whatever reason), but please don't leave us here. We need you to keep us grounded and to remember that the girls make us better coaches not the other way around.

Philbob-I never actually met her, but have watched her coach. I agree that evil may be triumphing here. We need people who actually are here for the girls to speak up on their behalf.

Another lost and now we must go back to hearing posts (not saying everyone) speak about negativity. JMHO-don't get mad. I will continue to remember the heart, sweat, blood, and tears these girls do for us even if Carol is not here to remind me.

I want to thank everyone for their kind words, which mean a lot to me. And please be assured that nothing a third party posted on OFC caused my retirement, so no worry on that front.

I'm taking a "sneak-back" day to encourage coaches to attend the NFCA course Nov 12-14. These are tremendous courses and I think that the willingness of the NFCA to hold courses in Columbus does the entire Ohio fastpitch community a great service. Recently they have begun giving a significant discount to multiple coaches from the same organization. Check out the thread on the course.
