Coaches recruiting at a Clinic?

yeah, and the ones that don't release them are puke.... and they "don't own" them. Release and move on.
I hate it if someone makes that decision after tryouts, but at the end of the day - do you really want a kid who doesn't want to be there??? I don't. The signed rosters mean little or nothing unless you at major sanctioned tournament. Some coaches and even organizations will approach a kid at a tournament. I had it happen last year, Lester had it happen too (same coach). Loyalty is a hard to find two-way street, but at the end of the day commit to those who commit to you and remember it is about the girls.

I let them go. If they want to waste the money spent thats on them. Our contract states you loose all monies paid in.

exactly. lose all monies.

this topic gets discussed all the time. This action happens all the time. But, it also goes the other way many times. Dad's of players on one team trying and prying to get a team to take them.

Lol...I think the real coaches just move on and find a knock out player to replace the one that wasn't happy.

exactly. It is a game... but one that needs to have balance. Balance doesn't come with holding onto players just because you can unless you have a real control complex and in these days and times you get labeled, and in many cases labeled properly.

it's a shame really, airing out the names, faces, and details would be much funner for some, not me.:cap:

Get a kick out of this. It's great if the coaches are recruiting the girls for your team, but ****s if they are trying to recruit off of your team. Part of the game. Players don't leave if they are happy. Period.
