Let us all remember we are role models for our children. If we drink, do it in the proper place, time and no driving. If we are red cupping, are we teaching our kids to hide alcohol and thats OK? These can lead to situations where parents are shocked when kids get caught drinking under age. If we get out of control as adults, don't wonder later why our kids getting in trouble for disrespect or fighting. Our kids, and others, are always watching, learning and following by example.

Thats why you put the beer into a McDonalds Tea cup. No Red Solo Cup.

I will tell you how the player stays on the team.....there was an 11 year old kid caught in the middle and did she deserve to get removed from the team because of something her parents allegedly did. No witnesses and conflicting police reports. Altercation took place while team was playing and was completely out of sight from the team? All information was heresay. The incident was embarrassing to everyone. The talk should have been about how well team played.

The following morning I called the TD to apologize even though facts were unknown (and still are), head of Ice organization to give him a heads up and to the head coach and parents involved in the wrestling match. To say "nothing was done" is more nonsense. The 11 year old deserved benefit of doubt and I dont think you should pass judgment about organizations without all the facts.

We can agree that nothing good comes from drinking between games.

Yea, us real drinkers know how to hide it. LOL JK JK

I have never seen drinking between games so I'm surprised by this thread. I should say drinking in the parking lot. We played in a league once and the park served beer so some would have a beer with their dinner. I didn't because it was mid week. Once I did go watch some games at a park that sold beer and had a couple. DD wasn't playing. Drinking is legal and enjoyable but should be done responsibly and responsible drinking needn't be hidden from kids.

I certainly don't understand our mentality and the teaching that drinking is bad. Firstly, it is not illegal. Secondly, why not teach kids to do it in moderation and not get sh*t faced. I've seen my fair share of idiots at the fields that haven't been drinking (at least I don't believe so). If someone wants to have a drink in-between games who really cares. Of course, it gives the holier than thou attitudes on here something to talk about.
As far as the OP, this was nothing more than an attempt to spread gossip especially about something the OP has no first-hand knowledge of. Gossip is far more dangerous than drinking in my opinion.

A little story....

about 20 years ago while I was in the Army, my family and I were at a friends house. This is my best friend's house and he and I were sitting on the deck and sipping on some Red Dogs. My son, who had just finished the DARE program in school, came by, saw the beer, and said "Do you know that one beer will kill a million brain cells? (or whatever number it is, I can't remember...too many Red Dogs)" We looked at each other and said, well, we'll just kill-off the dumb ones." :p
