I have not been on this site for some time, last time I tried the site was down, Can anyone tell me where Howard Carrier is and how he is doing? Does he post here any more! I really liked that guy and he dedicated a ton of time to the sport! Im a lil taken back that he hasn't been as visible as he once was. I m hoping he is in great health!

I am still alive and well. Not in the best of health. I stopped doing clinics with Crystl because of all the travel and time away from home.
As to the posting and I hope this does not offend anyone, this site has become basically a social site and that is OK. However unless I believe in the subject as it relates to hitting I do not have much to say or use the PM feature to communicate or the telephone.
The subject of hitting has a lot of opinions and after 26 years the arguments are still basically similar.
I use what works in my opinion and let the kids speak for themselves. I went to another signing yesterday with coaches that I have worked with for ten years. All of the coaches have worked at the clinics with Crystl and I over the years. Now their kids are going to college.....makes me feel good to see them take it to the next level.

We aren't getting any younger either...... Lol. Can't believe Britt is a senior at Louisville..... Want to adopt an 8th grader? Not sure they would let you take her from Lebanon schools though.

Hey Big Guy,
We at the Static have one person to blame for becoming better than we expected. We wouldn't have been capable of growing with an incredible source of knowledge without your willingness to answer our dumb questions
! You sir are integral in so many lives and all of us (OFC'rs and beyond) are thankful for what you do! At Kherrin Morgan's NLI signing this week, tears of joy from some of the toughest individuals I know were flowing in force. This is not a brown nosing session, it's factual and real. You deserve many words, the most important ones are Thank YOU!!! And the same goes to Idella! She has indirectly given up endless hours for you to open your home up to many times total strangers and that is an huge understatement.Thank you Lester and too the Static coaches and parents for believing and trying our concepts and also for helping at the clinics. It was great on the job training with some of the best elite female players....some really cool memories also.
You are correct Idella has given up a lot to allow me to learn and especially with her condition as to health.

As Les mentions above, our Static Org would not even close to where we are at today if Howard had not taken us under his wing to share his vast knowledge of hitting & the entire game of softball. Just as important, he has made us much better coaches through the understanding of how females differ & work vs males - I believe this fact is well understated & is at the foundational crux to be able to be an effective coach of girls.
Personally, I cannot thank Howard enough for what he has done for my daughter Kherrin & the rest of my Static '97 team; it has all culminated this week w/ the girls signing to play at the next level. Because of Howard, these girls has accumulated over $1,000,000 in combined athletic & academic scholarships. Therefore, Howard has not only has been instrumental in growing them over the last 7 yrs, but also has affected their future through adulthood as they will come out of college with great degrees & very minimal college debt.
From the bottom of my heart & soul Howard, thank you for all that you have done - I could never be able to pay you back no matter how hard I try.

I just wanted to jump in the long line of saying Thank You for all that you have done for everyone!!! The 1/2 dozen times I would call you on an emergency hitting issue, and you would welcome me and the girls down to your garage and hit for hours as we tried out some experimental hitting devices from your laboratory. The only thing you ever asked was to bring some water or Gatorade so you could turn around and give it back to all the girls you helped. You are an amazing Man and I am a better coach for knowing you. God Bless you and Idella!

I just got to meet Howard for the first time today and let me tell you the man is a genius. We got to see some of his tools of the trade today and man it was just cool! My DD had a blast today and got to learn how to improve her game from the master himself. lol Thanks Howard we will be in touch soon.
