Another team coming to your tryouts to recruit girls as they walk to the parking lot? While their DD was there trying out for your teams?

It is of course insane, but anyone who joins such a team must also be insane.

It is a sad day when excellent travel team organizations have to scour other organization parking lots, for players. IMOP if they were interested in yours, they'd have been there. But to bring your child also, to try out, maybe a diversion, that didn't work I might add, but shesh!

You sure they weren't just like Vultures circling for the Kids who Either got rejected or Felt the Odds were stacked against them ? And what were they In their Organizations Colors . You seemed to Know the culprits.
Our Team had tryouts in September last year... we had some kids on Board , and Figured we would pick up the Table scraps. And Try our Best to be Competitive. Personally , wouldn't Dream of Going TO another's tryouts to scavenge ! We disbanded after a year... Its a LOT of work to Do this and I figured my Daughter would get more out of joining a Solid Organization. Of we would be Knee deep in this again....Right Now. I am instead quite at ease !! LOL !

You guys are Always Strong ! We might be at it again... minus all the Drama from Parent-land... Please Allow your Coaches who volunteer a TON of Time Effort and Money . To Run the Team... All the Moaning isn't helping your DD to be a better Person or Player.

After about 10 minutes of try-outs i would of called the entire group together including parents and offer this player a spot on the team with the stipulaton they let you know immediately.......once they decline i would politely ask them to leave them explain to the remaining group about what jsut happened !!!

Then again im no angel.....;&

OK, I got an explanation in private. It would of been better if we knew the reasoning sooner. But it is OK. No problem!

Wow, I can't possibly imagine a team using this tactic, but I would never be averse to taking another team's try-out flunkies if they fit my team's needs. Let's face it, sometimes good players get missed in all the drama of mass try-outs. I try out individual players for this reason. Individually-scheduled sessions with a few returning players present to help out and give input. Yeah, it's more time consuming, but then again, I feel we get the best matches this way.
