Seems to be the nature of the business for some sanctions in showcase tournaments. I remember people on here arguing PGF over ASA because PGF was for and about the young women playing. In the end it is a business. Never stayed to play at an ASA sanctioned tourney. Here is hoping they dont force Stingrays to that route.

Sort of sounds like something you would from some mobsters.

Just want to clarify that I am not stating that there is anything illegal going on, the concept of being forced to stay at X or pay X sounds like its not right.

Definition of 'Racketeering'

Racketeering refers to criminal activity that is performed to benefit an organization such as a crime syndicate. Examples of racketeering activity include extortion, money laundering, loan sharking, obstruction of justice and bribery. The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act became U.S. law in 1970, permitting law enforcement to charge individuals or groups with racketeering.
