How many of you have already pulled the weeds, trimmed the trees, picked up the sticks, edged the beds, mulched the beds.... OR how many of you like I have for the last 3 years never got to it before the first weekend of tournament play started and then looked like the hillbilly house you never wanted to live next to!?! you know... grass never cut, mulch beds overgrown with weeds etc... I can finally say this year it wont happen to me! I spent 12 - 14 hours this weekend getting it done! YEAH!:yahoo: You got about 1 week left people.... then FORGET ABOUT IT! ;&

Unfortunately, I will be the hillbilly house. I did spring cleaning inside but not outside yet. High school ball destroyed any hope of getting the yard work done before tournaments start. Luckily, nobody lives on either side of me so no matter what, my yard looks better than theirs. ;)

When we moved last yr. Funny that I told the Realtor one of my requirements was a very small yard. Mowed and weeded twice already this year, takes me 25 minutes to push now my yard. My old yard was over two acres! You wanna talk about hillbilly when ball season rolled around!? Hell I had rednecks beside me pi$$ed off for how my yard looked! Not now though, I mean I still live next to a redneck but the yard is small. There's 7 softball/baseball fields within 5 minutes of my house. What the hell would I need a yard for anyway!?

Well, where I live, it's really frowned upon. I try and emphasize try not to have the hillbilly yard. I always start off on the right foot, but by mid season- forget about it. I think my neighbors behind me hate me, but so what. Once my girls are off and raising their own families, they'll still hate me since I'll have the nicest yard in town. Lol.

Ok, shamefully just finished mowing by moonlight. Considering mulching by moonlight tomorrow. The guy a few streets down has turf. Looks a little cheesy but I'm thinking that guy just might be a genius!

I put on 12" of mulch. No kidding... the wife was like "why did you put on 5 years worth of mulch"... answer, "school ball allowed me too" and I'm not doing it again till I'm done coaching". So, 5 years is about right.

Ha ha. I called someone and set up every other week service. At least it will be done 1/2 the time.

I convinced my DD that using the push mower will enhance her arm and leg muscles, therefore helping her in softball. Also told her it was "working off" her team fee, bat, catcher gear, travel expense, etc! ;&

My yard is already a top 10 hillbilly award winner, and I'm not even a coach. I think My 14 yr old son will be in the landscaping business within the month! :)
