I grew up in that era, and was a Pistons fan growing up in Toledo ... but loved the era overall with the Lakers & Celts, the Pistons and then later the Bulls & Rockets .... not just great talent in the era, but T-E-A-M basketball, and D-E-F-E-N-S-E .... not the waterd down ono-on-one egomaniacal hero streetball of today.


Anyway, the REAL question is ... if Dallas wins, how big will the Mav's parade be? ... I mean the one in Cleveland.

Grand Marshall? .... how about LeFraud? I would like to see a parade for the "Mavileers" with LeFraud in an open air paddywagon as part of the parade! Think of the money you could raise for Cleveland schools if you could sell tomatoes aong the parade route??!!

On another subject, not sure I could believe my ears ... but I thought I heard the talking heads suggest that the Heat make a run for Dwight Howard in the off season ..... c'mon, really? A couple of weeks ago Scottie Pippen said LeBron may the best NBA player ever. What he should have said was LeBron has the physical skills to possibly be the best ever, but he doesn't have the heart to be a champion. As much as I did not like Jordan because he was always beating the Cavs and everyone else when it mattered the most, he (Jordan) had the heart of a champion, he was a winner.

It will be interesting to see how this will be blamed on someone else and not LeBron. ESPN used to say, while he was in Cleveland, that he didn't have the surrounding players he needed to get the job done. Apparently, Wade and Bosch aren't a good enough surrounding cast of players either. Good luck spinning this one!!!:lmao:
