My daughter loved wearing metal cleats to pitch. She said it gave her better footing and helped her to pitch faster.

The DD was the same way, she really loved her metals, but now i see that she takes both her metal and molded cleats and wears them depending on the field??? She always been a little quirky, she gets that from her mom...;&

any problems in the summer with travel ball? Could the metal cleats be worn at most tournaments?

Unfortunately very few tournaments/sanctions will allow metal cleats in the summer....

HIgh School girls that switched to metal love them. Just be careful the first time you run and hit concrete. We had a couple slip and fall, to you adjust to them. I agree Tim, Chris may never get out! The dog might as well move in, since its going to get crowded.

Good to know about the concrete. DD is a freshman and just got outside in the metal cleats this week. She is a pitcher and hasn't used them enough yet to say if they are better, but I have to think they will be.

We also found that players wore metal cleats in tournaments this past summer and fall in spite of the rules. You may want to instruct your catcher to bring metal cleats to the umpire's attention as they don't seem to notice. DD took intentional cleating to her thigh last summer, and the runner got up and asked her if she liked the cleats.

Went on-line last year and bought my pitcher DD a pair of metal cleat softball shoes. She hated them because they hurt her feet and caused knee pain. $80 down the drain. Does anyone out there know who makes the most comfortable ones?
She now wants to try a pair of metal cleat ****** shoes. Is there a disadvantage to this?(one I can think of is that the toe would prabably wear out quickly since she pitches)

we bought a pair of ringor metal and we will see how it goes. Ringor did make a new pair of shoes this year that has mesh sides. A lot lighter and more comfortable.

My DD's new Ringor Mesh cleats just arrived today lol, she didnt get metal because she didnt want to have to switch back forth from High School to travel. Its ok by me, its her choice lol. But that is a nice cleat.
