Has anyone seen the new Rip-It helmets with the integrated face masks. These things are first class. You won't find a better setup for visibility for the batter. Our team will be using them this coming year. Also, their new Game-Face type mask is the same way. I have a feeling the kids on my team will be sending their Game-Face to softball graveyard and picking up one these things.

Our team got the Rip-It face guards last year and our girls could not believe the difference in visability and weight.
I haven't seen the helmets but the girls probably won't want new ones - they don't want to let go of those RBI stickers!

The new helmets have the face mask built into the helmet and are even less metal than their old face masks.

Don't see either of these on their website. Anyone have an online link?

Are these one size fit all helmets? The only problem with Helmets are the fit. If you can grap the front mask and move the helment when its on, then it is not the correct fit. Hitter had a good post on this subject and buying Helmets that have different sizes.

Where we bought our uniforms let us take the 2 different sizes of helmets to try on.
We got the Rawlings Cool Flo helmets and then attached the rip-it facemasks ourselves.
The girls love that it attaches above the bill of the helmet instead of under it so you do not see it above your eyes.

Do you know where I can find out more about the face masks? They just look less inhibiting than the game faces. I could only find the helmet masks when I used my search engine....

These will be at our October tournament. The Rip-It Rep will be there with these new helmets and face masks. We are meeting with him this week to discuss the tourney and what and how many of the new items to bring along. I believe he will have a limited number of these masks with him to sell. I know I have a few kids who already want one.

Ohio Wave is also an authorized dealer for the Rip-It gear as we have a partnership directly with them thru our indoor facility The Academy. The Rip-It rep will be at our tournament this coming weekend and we will also have the gear at The Academy all winter long available for players to test and purchase.

I have not been given the exact date of release yet but we should definately know more after this weekend.

The new Rip-It helmets offer by far the best visability of any helmet / mask combination on the market. The overall weight is much lower as well.

Just a quick update from the folks at RIP-IT. We have been told that we will have our shipment of fielders/pitchers faceguards some time around the first week of December. They will be difficult to find and we were fourtunate enough to get our order in early enough because they are currently telling dealers that they will not be able to keep up with demand.

Our price for these faceguards will be in the $35.00 range. there are two sizes coming Adult and youth.

Regarding the Helmets and facemask combination, these unfortunately will not be available until sometime next summer. This is too bad because the sample that we saw was awesome.

Anyone who is interested in the faceguards or any other RIP-IT products please feel free to contact us anytime. We can typically save you 10% to 20% off any of their items.
