AW...........and ummmm..........Springfield!!!! AW I can understand but
Springfield????? What puts them above the others????

Two words Talent and Coaching.....
Well they had that last year!!!!!!.....Im just saying that they were talked up so much last year
and it didnt seem like AW had too much of a problem with them
I may be wrong here but I believe they had a starting pitcher that was injured most of year...I am sure Springfield fans will not use this for an excuse but I am sure it played a factor...
BTW two more words.... Hard work and Dedication..but yea they had that last year too...right. ;) ;)

I can't be silent any longer. Let me fill you in luvtheumps2, Springfield split with AW last year. Therefore, I don't think AW had an easy time with Springfield. The first game went to AW. Gill and Michalak were even in stats for that game other then win/loss. Springfield had two costly fielding errors and a huge base running error that resulted in a double play, which killed a potential big rally. The second game was won by Springfield. Kate Halminak hit a grand slam in the first inning. Mihalak pitched the first four innings with a broken arm. AW fought back. Freshmen Brittany Richberg hit a line drive up the middle with bases loaded in the 4th inning that scored two and Springfield added one more later in the game. Again, AW fought back and Mihalak came back out for the seventh inning after AW pulled within one.

Both games were evenly matched and could have went either way. Rob Gwozdz is one of the best coaches in not only NWO, but in the state. IMHO. I have witnessed their dedication this fall at open gyms and the work they put in on their own. I think you are mistaken to assume that Springfield is anything but a talented and well coached team. Remember, they didn't put themselves in the state poll. They were voted in 5 of the 6 weeks. What team do you support? I hope Springfield plays whoever it is, so you can see the coaching and talent first hand. I think it is obvious that I am passionate about Springfield, my dd plays on the team. AW also has a very good coach and players. Even if Springfield won both games this year, I would never say that they had an easy time with AW. You should know your facts before you make a comment like the one you did.

Heat is right on...... I have watched Springfield, AW, Perrysburg and Rossford a lot the past few years. He is definitely right about the Spfld. coach being one of the best....as well as the AW coach. Throw the Elmwood coach in there and you have won the trifecta.
Also, remember that the freshman pitcher is now a sophomore with one year of varsity experience under her belt. Gill is a senior on her way to a college career.... this is a plus for both.
I will be there when they play... probably both times......The best thing for me is that I won't be "too disappointed" when one of the teams loses.... I love them both. Give me a hard fought, well coached team and I will feel that I have died and gone to softball heaven.
Just watch where you spread my ashes fpfan!!!!.

Hey Fast, since you have all the connections, why not start a "NLL" preseason, parents only, slowpitch tourn. All of our posts are fun to read, but there seems to be a hint of pent up winter stress. What a great way shake off the winter blahs before the H.S. season starts !! Our "TCL" parents can have a seperate tourn, and the winner of each league can play in a championship game !! ;D ;D

........hmmm.....we just need good names to identify them!

That's not what you wrote. Go back a read what you wrote. You didn't mention any other team. You questioned Springfield only. That is the bad think about e-mail/posts you don't know what the writer really means and they can come across that wrong way. I still believe you were specifically calling out Springfield, but thats ok. I would say that finishing one game back for a league title isn't bad, and the team that won it didn't have an easy time with any of the teams in the NLL.

Have a nice day. :) See my undies aren't in a bunch. ;D ;D ;D

If the weather doesn't start to shape up, we may have to use Uber's poll to seed the sectionals tournament and nobody will get a shot at the league title. ;D ;D ;D
