Any surprises,concerns?

Who was added to the varsity rosters?

Who did not make it or choose not to play?

What were the tryout numbers like?

Lets get the Hot Stove (fire) cranked up.

Thunderoad- get the wood - you are never at a loose of add topics and get things started
Heat29- I grab the poker - your incharge of stoaking the fire
UberJones- you stand by with the hose- you know how some of these fires can get out of hand
643dp- you bring the sides we can munch on- you are always good for added flavor to all topics
Fast2home- you bring the love- you are very good at spreading it :)

I can't start until Thunder brings the wood. AW sets their team today, I believe. Springfield is set and ready to go. Couple of new faces on the Springfield Varsity team. It is going to be a great year.

WOOD !! You want me to bring WOOD?.......How about enough for a BONFIRE !!

Well well, my chatty friends from Springfield are ready for the season to start. The way Springfield finished last season, I don't blame them. They finished strong. I hope you all have a better season than last year,....wouldn't 2nd in the NLL be better?.........LOL........Yes I'm well aware you beat us in Sectionals,.........given enough chances..........LOL......just messing around.

Heat,..nice picture of "the cloud" ........I don't know what Jim's thinking, Reagan doesn't look anythinig like Ashlyn.

As for us, A.W., a couple of cuts today probably and final cuts tomorrow. Mark likes to give the girls a good opportunity show what they have. As for setting the team, we may be consulting with Abbott and Costello this year. You know, the whole "Who's on 1st" bit. The pitcher's position is 1 and 1a and the rest isn't set. We've got alot of good pieces, it's just a matter of assembling the puzzle.

Great points (wood) Thunder, Second would be better, but we will let AW and P'burg fight for second. We will be watching from above in 1st. LOL!!!! By the way, the NLL title is great, but I would give up the NLL title this year for another sectional and district title this year, but will want to have a Regional and State title to go with it.

Springfield @ AW - April 22
AW @ Springfield - May 11

It is on, like Donkey Kong!!!!

Thunder--is that better?

I personally would like a NLL title, as the stepping stone.

Look what happen last year to the team that said the NLL was not important that states was the only goal. ;&

Much better DevilDad. I have been very impreseed with her progress since she returned from her injury. You did the right thing shutting her down completely and letting her heal. Short term disappointment rewarded with long term success !!

Oh and by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to "Princess Running Cloud". 17 years old today,.......maybe she'll slow down now that she's aging.....LOL

As long as she finds that speed for the AW games, but then again you have had success keeping her off the bases the past two years. She has done her speed dance ( It is similar to the rain dance) and is ready to go.

My prediction for the NLL this year is.

Springfield
Southview
AW
Perrysburg
Maumee
Northview
BG
Rossford

I am fairly confident that Springfield wins it this year, I see 4 teams fighting for 2-4. Whoever does the best job of replacing what they lost to graduation will finish 2nd lol.

Uber, You are good. I agree with your top pick (surprise, surprise), I have a different take on the rest.

Springfield
P'burg
AW
Southview
Maumee
Northview
BG
Rossford

P'burg will be better this year. Bryson once again will keep them in every game. P'burg has some good talent coming in. Offense should be better.

AW - They have pitching. That is all you need sometimes.

Southview - Gates is a HUGE loss, but DeMars will have them ready to go. O'Reilly will surprise people this year.

Maumee - Hall is turning that program around. I don't believe they have enough pitching to contend.

Pretty much the same for the bottom three. Rossford will leave the NLL in last place.

Hey it's what I think can happen I don't think I need to be on drugs to make this point. In your league..something that I'm not used too in TCl..no such thing as Co-champs there. But in NLL Very possible. With Kimmy on the mound and some of there stix and good coaching/defence, there going to Contend and I think Tie Springfield for championship.

whoa... Karma.... how come you picked AW so low?? Good proven pitcher, big bats, top notch coach......and why Maumee so high?? Is there a "dominate" pitcher there? What about their bats??? I don't have much of a problem with the rest of your picks, it just surprising that you have AW in the number 5 spot.... must pick them in the top 3... do you know something that we don't?

Fast who are these big bats your referring to? I can only think of one Hensley. They lost their starting 3rd, SS, 2nd, 1st, CF and catcher. As far as Maumee goes they beat all the other teams below them other then AW every game so I went with them.

AW might end up being good, but for now they remind me of Perrysburg 2 years ago when they lost a lot of good players.

Make sense?

1. Tie AW
1. Tie Springfield
3. Perrysburg
4. Southview
5. Maumee
6. Northview
7. BG
8. Rossford

I Think AW/ Springfield will go 1 and 1 in their showdowns... Kurfis has the ability to no hit ANY team and seeing her play in the winter.. the kid is just throwing some heat.. looking real good!! But Springfield is the real deal and no way will lose 2 games to AW. An AW loss will probably be their only league loss. AW will have to work hard to keep up with them. Same thing with Bryson (can no hit anyone) except she doesn't have the same offense behind her. Southview is always strong and fast and should compete and Maumee has such a great program they may surprise everyone.

Karma,..you're almost right, A.W. graduated the starting LF, CF, 3B, and SS. Half way thru the season the catcher was pretty much replaced already. The 2B did not graduate but is not returning. The 1B position player is returning. While the offense will be different this year, (Less Homeruns), it certainly won't be anemic. Hensley had a good year last year, but so did some others, Haley (Most RBI's) and Hoot for instance. There's also a couple of new sticks being added to compliment them, and alot more speed. The NLL is never easy, but we're looking to peak at the right time.

Thanks for making my point more clear, although I didn't say you lost them all to graduation.

Those are key spots to have questions at. Wouldn't you agree?
