how many of you remember when some of the organization's had a junior / senior rule in ogso probably not many this rule was taken out of the by-laws back in the 90's witch aloud organizations to put together a senior team and a junior if there was more then one team from a organization, this allowing teams to compete against area's that only had one team that did a draft or as some of you call it stacking a team

I think OGSO is a good league over here in Trumbull/Mahoning area. Don't know about the other areas. OGSO is more advanced at 10u then the other leagues around us. The others still steal when the ball crosses plate, no stealing home, while OGSO 10u is almost full high school rules.
In my opinion, the big problem with OGSO is you can't expand. The age determination date is a huge deterrent for this. OGSO uses May 31. Everyone else uses Dec. 31. So if your birthday was in February and your community joined OGSO, you would have some girls that were 10 one year and be 12 the next. Most won?t even consider that.

It's just a few counties that play other towns in there county then have a play off. Actually kinda nice for the rec teams some of these lil towns put a lot of pride and effort into there teams. Even though I do mess with people at times I definitely think it has a place. Good luck to Crestwood and Garrettsville. Oh ya also that town just east of G-ville.
