Sounds about right.

The OHSAA is the stupid little brother of the NFHS.

Looks like they will need more pitchers in School ball.

Just in time to ruin DD 's senior year... What a bunch of Dumbasses! And they still don't have to wear a mask!

Do you really think they'll enforce that? They don't even enforce the maximum 32 games max in a season for a player because it can take upwards to 38 games to get to the championship.

Right over here!
OSHAA is a mess. Regulate every last ounce of the game. But its all about the kids. Right?

What a great point about facemarks!

It is a misprint, they will send out info to coaches in the next few days!

Just messaged Mr Snodgrass. It's a mistake in the regulations. There is no "pitch count".

I know one game a every three days is not conceivable but neither is pitching 10 innings every 3 days...
Your starting pitcher could only pitch one out of three games!
I found out it was a misprint cut and paste mistake from the boys baseball but I see you all found out. :)

I think it would hurt the teams in the tougher conferences that don't let the teams make there own schedules.Do like the aspect of forcing the coach's that want to have there #1 pull the cart and don't develop future talent in hs ball.

In our checking we were also told it is a misprint and is not a new rule.

I was pretty confident it had to be a misprint. Just think what it would do to some JV games. You would have to have any girl who could throw at all on varsity. Poor JV games could get really ugly!

I've seen stuff in OHSAA rule books that was not a misprint that they threw out the window anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter what the book says for any given sport.

My favorites are the brilliant ideas they have that last for about the first 2 weeks of competition.

Thankful that's a misprint. I think it benefits the teams to have more games, that would make HS teams carry even fewer games on their schedules.

I complained about a technicality in the wrestling rule book for about 10 years and they finally changed it. No idea if it was because of me.

My guess is it had nothing to do with me because of the way it was changed. They simply made the technique illegal instead of closing the loophole where it was acceptable.

Anytime I happened on my mat I stopped the match but couldn't penalize. This lead to many,,,, loud discussions with both coaches over the years. I had to toss one guy over it.

On the other hand, they will put some idiotic starting sequence change in there that will screw everything up for a few weeks before they just say "oh screw it, stop doing it." Or maybe make knee pads with an open back illegal so the kids have to wrap tape around them. One year you could wear a tight fitting undershirt but it couldn't have a logo on it. Good luck finding one of those.

The moral of the story here is -- and I figure I'm not the only one who picked up on it and said something -- I identified something that could injure the participants of a sport that I officiate and brought it to the attention of the people who write the book. They sat on their hands for at least 10 years about it, all whilst making me say the word "set" before I blow my whistle and too many other stupid things to recall right now.
