under article 10 in the your athletic eligibility rules it states " You may not try out, Practice or participate in a contest with a non-school team while a member of a school team in the same sport"
so does these mean if your school is not cutting players you can not have a school player play in spano dome spring league?

OHSAA does not recognize indoor ball as softball, so you have a small loophole...

Also, you are not officially considered a part of the team until you appear in a scrimmage, preview, regular-season or postseason game. bylaw 10-4.1
Therefore, until your school's first scrimmage, you work out with your summer team all you desire. And, after the first scrimmage, put a roof over your head and you're good all high school season.
Technically, if your summer team plays on Sundays in an indoor league this spring, you can play throughout the high school season without jeopardizing your eligibility with the OHSAA. bylaw 10-4.7

What is being missed here is how does your HS coach feel about it?
They are the ones that make the rules for their team.

If you do not follow his rules your DD may be eligeble by OHSAA, but, may find herself on the bench for the HS season?

Wow. Sit a girl on the bench for practicing or playing the game she loves Even if it doesn't interfere with the H.S. practice or game schedule ?.......Now I am starting to see why a lot of girls are choosing to play for certain travel teams. They can play almost year round without catching hell. This is a dangerous subject I am sure for some coaches. :-X
