OHSAA Rules Question

From what I've been told, an athlete cant start a school year at a certain school, move to another school, and be allowed to play sports at their new school.
For instance; say I moved tomorrow from my current school, to a new school & district; would I be able to play softball for my new school?

I may end up running into this problem, but then again I haven't been very informed on the rule.
If anybody has any information on a rule like this, I'd really appreciate it if someone could better inform me about said rule.

Thanks in advance! :)

I do believe you only have to set out if you open enroll while in HS and did not move into the school district.

Short version: Assuming no other eligibility issues (too old, etc.) moving into a new district would permit one to immediately be eligible to play for the new district.

Once you have attended one single day in the first school you are locked in and would have to physically move to be eligible to play in the second school, which sounds like would be your intentions.

LADY_KNIGHTS;

You're right; those would be my intensions. Well; my mom's intensions, to be more specific. You've made the rule very clear for me, thank you very much!
