Take you money and your DD elsewhere.

How about we list some common problems that have been found with coaches? No names, just the problem itself(e.g. too mean, drunk all the time, dumb as a post, etc...).

I had 23 coaches in our program this past year. I was blessed that they followed the program rule, "Do not embarrass the organization". We tell our coaches, players and parents all the same thing.
Thank you Wizard coaches.

Martin I think that the group of coaches is just a great bunch of individuals. I enjoy working with them.

I'm with you, Ringer. Problem Coaches.........just a fairy tale.

Ringer may have something there ?:cool: a calculating, cat-like stats person could corrupt an otherwise forthright coach - particularly a stats person who openly acknowledges his willingness to adjust numbers for personal gain and benefit.

Warning: This post may contain sarcasm. . ?. yadi, yadi, yadi {please forgive the plagiarism, R}

i've been lucky to be around some good coaches for my DD, so i guess i cant get into what i see from other coaches..why would i want to do that..that would be pulling the cat's tail, so to speak...no need to ruffle feathers or to call anyone out, ofc is for general info, even a pm about this stuff makes it seem illicit in some way...from experience, people who complain about the coaches has a DD that bats ninth...what else is there to say..might as well keep the jokes coming and talk about you while i'm waiting in line at the concessions... ;)

Back to the original post, an effective leader will:
? ?Establish and communicate objectives or goals;
? ?Provide the tools and knowledge for the athletes to pull together to meet and exceed the goals;
? ?Remove any hurdles or threats to achievement of the goals; and,
? ?Be smart enough to sit back and only manage in the game (while taking mental notes of how to adjust coaching in the next practice).

Leadership can break down at any of these points. ?A common deficiency is the failure to anticipate and immediately address any issues (parents, lack of commitment, lack of effort, criticizing teammates, etc.) that can compromise the performance of any one team member, or the team in its whole.

Ah Harp you are ruining our fun. ?I kind was thinking that the statman should have the S-CAT's for a college exam. ?I did like your SR-CAT's. ?Isn't this what we do in the offseason? ?Waste our day away on the OFC? ? ?;) ;)

I apologize. ?Absolutely, I should know better than trying to sneak a serious topic in between the cat and the shark-dog.
