Nicely stated, gentlemen. It seems like every few months we have a funeral procession through our streets here in Eastern Cincy, for another young man that died while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. It saddens me every time to see it, but it makes me proud that we honor them every time we take the field, knowing they are fighting for our country. God Bless America!

You aren't the only ones...and we appreciate the opportunity to show our thanks and support to our flag and everything for which it stands....

Giving away free helicopter rides by renting out batting helmets to protect against foul balls? :) I tease, I tease

Gregg is a good pilot, he showed me all of Middletown's hidden, beautiful terrain that you don't get to see if you hire another sightseeing service!! ;)

Brad, did I hear right that the Charmers beat Doom 8-0? Congrats on your 3rd place finish - considering the field of teams, that's not bad at all. We had a ITB game as well last night, winning 12-11. Great weekend of competition! Magic and Fury need to set up some off-season scrimmages so we can have a rubber match. haha.

Great time at the SDS tournament- got to see a ton of old friends. Very proud of the
16u Cincy Magic team and the battle they faced with Doom.
Also, congrats to my DD Cincy Magic 14 (blue) for taking 2nd place behind a very talented and classy Cincy Static ( black) team.

SDS you have a great 13u team also that we had to battle through to get to play the Static- Wow your girls can really hit the ball!!!

Thank you for the comment, this is great group of girls. They do a pretty good job getting the bat on the ball. After playing 4 games today, they just ran out of gas on defense. The Magic team did an outstanding job on taking advantage of every missed play. Hats off the Magic team, great bunch of girls and good coaching.

I'm new to this and a player for the Lady Charmers. I just wanted to share how much fun we had these past three days and how relieving it was to play a team with great heart and an overall great attitude. It was nothing short of an exhausting eleven innings with low scoring, (4 to 3) but we enjoyed it none the less. The Cincy Doom is a great team and I'd be more than happy to play them again. They're really a class act softball team. (no sarcasm)

As always, the SDS crew did an excellent job running a tournament. The grilled corn was a nice touch!!!

Our Classics 14U team had a ball and faced some really tough competition. I believe we came out with a top 4 finish and learned a ton. In the end, we played 7 games and couldn't have asked for better weather.

Congrats to the Charmers!! Very nice pitcher and aggressive bats.

Good luck to all teams in their next tournament.

Larry, yes that was the bracket play game that sent Doom to loser bracket to play us because we lost to charmers in 9 innings ITB it 0-1, then we played Doom 13 innings ITB 2-1 and lost but our girls should be very proud of playing two quality teams and not giving up hardly any runs all weekend played 7 games went 4-3 and scored 34 runs and allowed only 11 in 56 innings.

As far as a rubber match we will meet again...... Past time world series?????

Brad, Wow... you guys should be proud, you did great against 2 very challenging opponents. You guys seem to be right on that verge, just gotta break through. Doom schooled us with Montana pitching. We loaded up the bases once or twice and had runners on other innings, but we just couldn't get enough key hits at the right time. As for World Series, we won't be at the Cincy WS. We're in Columbus this weekend for the MidWest World Series. We'll figure something out. haha! FallBall perhaps? :yahoo:

Chris,
Great Job on the Tourney this past weekend! I know our whole Magic family (12U, 14U's Blue & Black, and 16U teams) enjoyed playing some outstanding teams up there. Hats off to John and his Cincy Static Black girls! Great Job!
