Come on, if you've been in travel ball for awhile I know you come home from work an hour before practice starts, look at your yard, remembering when it was beautifully manicured, edged and mulched, as you look out on the field of dandelions, grubs and that brown stuff you used to call grass. Who has the best kept secerts for getting it to grow less and looking greener. This otta be good!

I make my own schedule, so I just come home from work an hour early and get it done. I only edge about once every 3 or 4 weeks tho. Usually when my wife starts griping about it. ::)

My daughter stayed in Kentucky a few years ago. The lawns in the neighborhood she was in were all fake. She said they looked real. That is my kind of lawn. I know that Chemlawn stuff has never worked for us. My husband never edges, and I can't talk him into the condo life once we hit the empty nest.

Sounds like my kind of lawn! I usually put the tractor in speed 6 and hold on! Rake? Oh the wind will blow it away. :p

Down south they actually put 3" of asphalt down and cover their yards with rocks! Really weird at first, but hey, no grass to cut!

My husband has not cut the grass twice in 10 years because it's a job I love. I do let him edge, though. Oh, and I don't have an actual paying job.

Darling husband hates trimming. I think he messes it up just so someone will fire him and take over.
(Works every time.)

I make my 12U DD mow. It is great conditioning for her legs in the summer between tourneys.

I rigged up some headlights on my lawn mower and I mow about 2 to 3 in the morning. ? ?For some reason the neighbors get upset, I don't understand, don't they know I have a travel ball player in the house......come on now!!!!!!. :( :(

I broke down and bought a commercial zero turn mower last year and get my 2 acres done in 40 minutes. Trim only a couple times a month. Got to keep the grass cut for practicing when we are not on a field.

Thirty bucks a week and sub it out... Today's world of go, go, go, doesn't afford the time anymore to waste 2 hrs of a weekend when every two hours counts of time spent with the family...
