Shortcuts to less yardwork during travelball

I used to be a nut case over my lawn, everything edged, trimmed, straight lines and no weeds; now, I like dirt so much now I spray weed/grass kill on the entire lawn and then mow it, and by mow I mean scalp it. I used to mow every week, now it's more like one time a month.

FP.....
That's why one travels almost 3 days a week to be able to support their habit, maybe it's my habit too....

Maybe we need softball rehab... :)

You know, if softball is my worst vice, oh well, then I know it's all worth the time spent with the family.

We are only on borrowed time on this earth, so every minute spent with the kids is a bonus and wasting it on grass doesn't suit me as time well spent that's all.

You mean you all actually mow during the summer? I just send my kids out to run laps until it is all trampled down....Or sometimes I give my daycare kids scissors and let them practice their cutting skills and use the grass clippings for art projects... ;) :) ;)

12 and 15 yr old girls mow, around the 40ft pitching lane in our back yard ;D
Not very green though unless one likes the shade of broadleaf green ;)
Flowers never get planted anymore. After 2 summers of fastpitch the flowers were all dead by the end of June. Besides, I need the money for hotels and walking tacos. lol

Last summer, I lost four solar powered landscaping lights to a catcher trying to pitch. I think this summer we will try to put some sort of backstop in front of that poor shed before it falls victim as well.

Lady cougars, we have a shed as a back drop too. It used to have gutters ;D I think we might be able to put them back up now, if they are not too beat up. Had two girls learning to pitch, poor shed, glad it don't have feelings ;D

I have about 3 acres to mow. How many goats do you think I'll need?

1 goat is good for about 1000 Square yards, you have three acres so you need 14.5 goats, I would suggest either going with 14 or 15, that half a goat can get messy.

I think there was a thread a little while ago about playing softball in the winter! That would definitely solve the lawn problems. Shoveling would be another matter though!
