First - there is no such thing as "invading a thread". All are welcomed to add their input on any and every thread on OFC.

There are more coaches than not that are proud of their team and will gladly make it know. You mentioned that you are a new travel team - is it possible that the coaches are new and learning the ropes? Do your coaches know about OFC? Do they post?

Nonetheless, I am sorry that the experience has not been good for you. Keep in mind... tryouts start next month and you can find out about teams and organizations on OFC. Do some research for an informed decision.

Sorry not trying to invade this thread, but I was just checking out scores and began reading this. I found myself at the end and realized that I was crying. Call it exhaustion from our tourney today or call it jealousy that my DD's coaches would never talk this fondly about the girls on our team, but I am happy that there are still some good people out there that care about the girls that are out there sweating it up only to make us proud. Sorry-new tourney team and it has already been a very long summer.

Coaches are new. After a few tough weeks, last week was better. Not as much yelling and the girls actually did better. I believe that she will go to other try-outs since "no one in this circle will make my team at try-outs" She wants to still tryout for them just to prove her worth. We were hoping that this would be it. But-way too much money for nothing back. We were going to go somewhere else this year, but my Dd wanted to honor her committment to her teammates. Got to respect her for that.

Thank you Johnnies for the nice words. Just remember coaches, you can regress girls right out of this sport. DD has been playing travel for 5 years and luckily still enjoys it.
