I just received an email update on game times from one of our coaches who had just recently been notified of the updated schedule via email. Hopefully your coaches will notify you of your schedule soon! Have a good night!

Any 14u pool play scores?

Just found the brackets. I see the logo for her marina. The half @ss way she runs her tourneys would anyone want to risk going to her marina. haha

to say this event has lost it's luster would be an understatement

If it rained there tonight, I'd say forget it for the weekend. That's the way it worked last year.

It has rained there all night. It just takes so long to make a decision. I waited 90 minutes after the last rain yesterday (knowing we were done and radar said more was coming) to find out we were officially done for the day. I really wanted to be a part of this finale as we have cut our teeth on this ballpark in years past.

Man I hate to hear this. I don't want to speak for all the families from that original Stingrays team, but in our 16u season we won it when it was a bigtime event. For me personally it was one of those sports highlights I will remember forever. I had the chance to meet up with one of those players in Miami this year and we talked about it. We worked with them (Patty) in the early years of the Stingrays tournament to avoid scheduling conflicts so teams could play both. They were good for Ohio Fastpitch.

We beat a team from St Louis - I think in the finals - with the greatest name in the history of fastpitch "The Legion of DOOM"

once things go wrong and public perception gets set it's hard to turn around. Some things going on were just untolerable like the beer guzzling drunk slow pitch guys hollering " H%% F ^#$^ fire I can't hit it that F %#$# far" or I can't F^#$# throw it that hard " and also leering at the players . having the beer league in the same complex as 12u's was just not a good idea. I thought the park and Patty did a wonderful job with the weather they had. Rain
(4"-6"), wind, hail and the tournamnet still was a great success. Fields were in great conditions and all teams had a great time. I am sorry to see this tournament end.

That tournament used to be huge.
Compuware and Sluggerfest were the top 2 back in the day.
I alway's liked Patty and she really cared about the kids.Maybe it's something out of her control.

I believe Patty is or has moved to her parents B&B to help run it. I emailed with her in the winter. I think the world of her. You are right dumbbucket. She truly was in it to help the girls advance their opportunities. The City never really made it very easy on her though. Sad to hear she is moving on and no one is taking over the event.

Patty did a great job this weekend with the weather that we had at Sluggerfest. She definitely proved to our team that she is in it for the girls and was trying to get as much playing time as possible. Thanks Patty for a great weekend and sure hate to see you leave. Take care and I hope your father gets well.

I agree with Robbie. With the amount of rain (and hail) that we received Friday , followed by the overnight storms that followed, Patty and staff did a excellent job on the fields and getting the tournmanent in. They could have very easily thru in the towel Saturday morning, but did not. Thanks again.

I agree the staff on hand did a good job with the fields and getting the tournament in this weekend. The rain/hail/wind was miserable Friday. I understood going to 50 minute games for pool play, but I am disappointed the games were not allowed to go 1hour 20minutes (at least) yesterday in the last rounds of elimination play. Not sure if the push was to get this tourney over so the adult league could play or not. All in all, it was a good experience for my team and I fealt the competition was very good. Good luck, Patty!

Under EXTREME RAIN AND STRONG WIND AND LIGHTNING I thought Sluggerfest was going to be a washout, but Patty and the grounds crew at Rivershore did an excellent job to make sure our girls got to play. Way to go Patty.

Dave you have a very nice team and parents. Sierra and I enjoyed watching you all play the Lady Tigers, that was a great game to watch from start to finish. Much deserved congrats and I wish we could have stayed around to watch the finals. Good luck this year to you and your team.

I went to the link but did not see any results from bracket. Can someone give the order of finishing for both age groups?

Two comments on this weekend:

- They did a poor job of communicating how games would proceed. They stated one way then changed it and relied on people going to the website rather than the phone messages that they were using.

- The grounds crew did a great job getting the fields ready. We didn't have lines on our field right away but I'm ok with that, they did it when they could with the resources they had. I would have liked for them to came around mid-day and ran their normal drag over the the fields, that would have perfected them.
