was curious of the chances that the single elimination brackets could be posted on here early. My dd plays saturday morning and then has to sit around until 5:40 when single elimination tourney starts. would like to know early how long wait will be and will be able to travel home

Why don't people have a problem with this??? If you are lucky to draw 1-4 and not play saturday night. Then you should play the earlier games on Sunday not the later games. Most teams will have played 2 games of elimination before the choosen 1-4. Thats crazy!! Your games before elimination mean nothing then. Just be lucky to draw 1-4.

What do you expect from a N$A Tournament. More teams than time allows but we are making the money.

cheap shot wshflthinking.....Spano dome gives northeast Ohio an advantage over the entire state in winter softball....the fact that they can host 28 teams from Canada, NY Pa and Ohio and I believe WV is no small feat, pretty sure has nothing to do with NSA other than it is a quailfier and as a parent who's kid was a "Dome Rat" for 6 years with Ohio ICE, I am guessing the Spano Brothers are just breaking even if that....cost alot of money to keep that barn going, asks the Thunderplex owners, Gallagher Field of Dreams and the other indoor facilities in Ohio who haven't survived.... Frankly , it is rarely the kids that complain about the wait ( this is when my DD had the most fun with her friends that she only got to see with softball)...welcome to tournament ball....how many time have you gone to Nationals only to have one game a day as long as your winning only to be slammed with 5 in one day when you hit the losers bracket....sorry , just tired of the Dome getting slammed, my DD owes her college career to the training and lessons she got @ the Dome...Go ICE

First, Leonard please tell me you don't like this format. They advertise it as a 4 Game guarantee, so you should know how many teams you can accommadate from the beginning. Then it went to 3 game guarantee. You have "x" amount of playing hours and "y" amount of game time so if you want to finish by 5:30 on Sunday if will have "z" amount of teams NOT 28 TEAMS DUH!! Wow how did the 16's do it last week ???? They should not except more teams than they can handle. 20 teams would be pushing it let alone 28

The problem with this weekend, is teams refused to play on Friday and refused to play late on Saturday or Sunday. This all occurred after the fact, so all Frank could do was change it to 3 games or force teams to play or forfeit. He tried to work with everybody and was bit in the rear for his troubles.

do like the dome in fort wayne does " WARNING--signing up for this tourney means more than likely you will play all night , do not even dream of getting more than 4 hrs sleep. " The teams should not dictate how late they will play on a sat. Complaining about friday at least has some merit (WORK) but playing late on sat or sun should'nt ruffle many feathers IMO MD

Thanks Tija. ;)
My DD doesnt care WHEN she plays as long as she plays & could care less how many games. After all, this is for the kids right? That is why my DH & I do this. For the love of the game & the girls on the team.

No hate here at all. Just stated my opinion is that ok. Concerning having a talk with Frank what would that settle. His opinion and mine are different. His place not mine. Doesnt mean I have to agree or come back next year. Indoor softball is just that!!!

I understand trying to accommodate the out of town teams as best as possible but, when you sign up for the tournament you should know you could be expected to play Friday night. Apparently there are more than enough teams that want to play. Perhaps teams that can make the entire tournament should be given preference over teams that only want to play at their own convenience.

Regardless, I do not find "teams do not want to play Friday night" as an acceptable excuse for advertising a 4 game guarantee and then, after everyone is entered and paid, dismiss the guarantee. Plain and simple, it's the old "bait and switch".

It is not rocket science. The games are on drop-dead time limits. It is simple math to determine how many games you can play at reasonable hours of the day from Friday evening through Sunday. If you overbook, it is either because you need some help with your math / planning skills, or a direct result of how you choose to do business.

Be prepared to get nailed for entry as well?.

This debate occurs every year. It just comes down to what is some dirt in February worth to you?.

the only math problm int he whole thing is how many teams greedy frank spano admitted to the tournament
he took the checks in FULL and cut each team one game
now, how can all the spanodump cronies explain the honesty in that act
that's why our former team quit going
how much does it cost at the gate to get in each day now
