There is a Best Western at the I-71/St Rte 95 Exit. Nice hotel and not to far from the fields. Not sure if it's listed under Chesterville or Mt. Gilead. My guess would be Mt Gilead.

The Best Western is only a couple years old and a nice place and is 8-10 miles from fields . ?Phone number is 419-768-2378

There is a Knights Inn about a mile back from I-71, an older motel, but is well maintained. ?Phone number is 419-946-6010

Only other thing I can think would be at I-71 and 36/37 which would be 20-30 minutes away.

There are several Bed and Breakfast lodgings available in the area, as well.

Thanks everyone for your input. Mansfield is really not that far away. I would guess 30-35 minutes depending where you are staying.

we have 4, need 4 more! I can't believe teams are passing up the oportunity to get in 8 games in a weekend for the cheapest per game cost in Ohio! The #1 thing I looked at as a coach when picking my tournaments was how many games am I getting guaranteed. Am I missing the boat on this one Pittpower19???

No Buckeye ur completely right, when we sat down to figure our schedule out for this year, I saw this tournament and thought 'good deal' so we signed up, thinking (the same way as you) that who would pass up an EIGHT GAME gurrentee?? Well, I hope you can get more teams in this tournament, it seems like a good ol' time :)

Buckeye,

There are 8 Ohio 12U teams playing at Compuware that weekend. ?Requests to play in that tournament need to be submitted in the fall. There is the Troy NSA, Westerville Warcat Shootout, ?the Sheriff's Classic in Marysville, the Mad River Classic in West Liberty, and the Marion Rebellion happening in Central Ohio that weekend also. ?A lot of those teams will still be needing to earn a World Series berth (NSA, USFA, Pony).

An 8 game weekend is a great deal. ?Hopefully you will fill up, but if you don't, put on the best tournament that you can and let your reputation be an additional drawing point for next year. Word will get out and they'll be knocking your door down next year.

Good luck and may the weather gods smile favorably on your tournament.

That explains it! We will just have to wait it out and see what happens. I should have done my homework a little better.

Buckeye,

You'll pull your hair out trying to pick/figure out the perfect date. The teams that do attend your tournament will get the word out and next year, they will come calling.

One request or thought- GAPSS and Stingrays tournaments are also Friday thru Sunday. It is hard for some parents and coaches to get Fridays off of work. This year is really tough- Stingrays tournament, next weekend GAPSS, the next week NSA World Series (all week). The dates you have now would be great (early to mid-June). Just as long as we don't have back to back to back 3 day tournaments. Just a request.

Central Ohio needs a big June tournament like yours.

Add the Jackson Twister's to the 16u. ?Only two spots left!!

Don't have any Spirit teams entered. ?Pass the word on. ?We have 4 spots in the 12u and 2 left in the 16u. ?They play the same weekend in June 16-18.

wvanalmsick, we start playing on Fridays, but it is later in the day. Usually around 3:00 p.m.. We have a huge amount of games to be played in 2 1/2 days and only 4 fields.
