whitehall tourney, playing rob wear's doom team, and if u've played rob, u know it's just weird anyway...so we're coming back from 2 runs down(thanks to some great errors by DD, thank u very much), makin a rally, rob is up n arms...then suddenly a storm cloud blows over..we keep playing..some kid drops a bat or something on the bleacher, we all cleared out of there like someone had just spilled the plague on the mound...after some discussion, we got back into the game, and the lightning did strike, game done

Nothing better then watching Rob's games. That's a show!

oh, i remember Ghanna tourney where it rained almost every inning...because of the heat and moisture, someone's bread got moldy..so here i am, looking at a girl biting into a ham sandwich that has mold on it...i didnt even say anything!

Rob is one heck of a character anywhere.

This one is on the sad side of things. Last year dds team had a young lady on her team the jammed her ankle sliding and injured it pretty badly. Parents and coaches where in a tizzy about having her ready for the up coming weekend tournament. (Homerun hitter and third base) Parent drove her about an hour away to see doctor who did some kind of rubberband therapy to loosen the ankle. She didnt attend any practices that week but come weekend she played and every time she got on base all weekend long you could see the tears just rolling down her face from the pain. Sad and scary at the same time that anyone would push a child to that extent.

That should be border line abuse there.

I think maybe folks have not seen callingcadence's kid hit a ball --she fakes bunts , F5 charges and she crushes one plastic surgery may not be the only worry.And I only wish I were joking --wear the mask at 3rd !!!!!!!!!! (or play back 100% of the time ) MD

i was under the impression the pitcher was the one hit in the ear because he didn't duck.

strangest thing...i have a couple.
i was on the thunderbolts playing the sting, and the sting's coach was yelling soooo bad at his player bc she missed a ball/throw that the ump told him to cool it and when i left i said to my mom, "Don't EVER let me play for an @$$ like that!"...three months later I have a tryout with the greatest guy and coach ive ever met/had, and he told me it was him that had been yelling (he had switched teams) and that it was a play. A PLAY! so we wouldn't know what was going on, and mannn did it work.

another: i pull the ball every time i hit it, and i pulled it so bad once it went straight at my coach sitting on a bucket right outside the duggout. haha, the ball busted the bucket, knocking it out from under her, and she fell flat on her butt.

the best one though: a girl was coming at me (i'm a catcher), and i recieved the ball and blocked the plate. i wasn't even ON the plate, i was sitting on the ground a foot in front of the plate, she slid into me and i tagged her. well, she got up, walked into her duggout and the umpire called her SAFE! my coach got thrown out for causing such a scene, but come on! haha. there was a clear marking of my catching gear and her sliding and feet marks in the dirt but he said she was safe.
