Top organizations? Why not have a poll in each age group with a points system?

I know there are pretty accurate polls for 10u and 12u on here. Why aren't there polls for the older girls? Imagine if you polled all age groups and awarded points to each organization accordingly. You would have a really good idea of what organization is doing the best job top to bottom. I'm pretty sure it would be heavily viewed.

give me a example sunny11, the big problem with polls someone has to do the work of gather information. I think once the teams are over the 14 under age group that we don't have many people that would really support a poll for the older age groups. I could be wrong.

As an assistant coach for a 16u team it's the last thing on my mind. We are worrying about putting together a showcase schedule, getting kids to the right camps, making sure players are emailing coaches, continuing to develop our players skills, and much more. Most of the Ohio teams we compete with are busy doing the same. I couldn't care less about a 16u poll.

Polls are like opinions and everyone has one...As an example from this past elections polls many times can be wrong and off by a lot...

At the younger ages a lot of the focus is on wins, With most teams/parents it does not matter who or where you played just if you won or lost.

As the ladies get older they and their family realize where and who you play matters more than an .800+ winning percentage.

At the older ages I think coaches more than players / families will look at their teams rankings in their region from USSSA or ASA depending on what sanctioning body they are playing. I think PGF may also be working on a region ranking system. During season this is the best way to measure your team since it takes into consideration who you played, runs scored, runs allowed and performance vs. other ranked opponents.

At the end of the season what national did they play and how did they do. College Showcase teams did you get looks and did any player commit would be their assessment tool.

I really didn't realize how much work went into the polls. The other polls have been here since I started, so I didn't know how difficult it was to start a poll.

I think this board does an amazing Job with the 10 and 12 year olds polls. Being from Western PA it helps a little when attending Ohio tournaments to have a idea on who you are playing. Would love to see it for 14.

Right over here!
Polls are fun. That's about it. The way its set up for younger ages is based on other coaches ranking. The biggest issues is its driven by name more than anything. Very few folks have played each other, let alone seen each team in the top 10, at this point in the season. Another point is at the older ages there is so much talent its really any given day teams can win. HS ball in Ohio also is a issue as the travel teams will be idle for the next 4 months or so. Lastly the older ages, especially at the higher levels, play more out of state then in state in the winter.
