I don't know how a thread on best pitchers in Oh got this long with out mentioning Faith Tessmer, SR at Lebanon H.S. and Lasers - Picked Queen of Diamonds at Kent State last winter, and her circle mate from Lebanon, Jr, Bethany Campbell. There just must be too many northerners posting here. Sarah Perkins from Edgewood also made a lot of noise in SWO as a freshman with a pretty young Edgewood team that should be even better this spring. Also no list of best Ohio pitchers is complete without mentioning Emily Schwable from Colerain H.S.

I agree that the Nightmare pitchers out of Central Ohio are very good and probably have the best in Ohio with Paige Myers from Grove City.
Kelly roudabush from Darby is always tough
Mandy Abbruzzese has been very good pitching above her age group for years and will help DeSales get back to the states. She doesn't get the notice as the other girls on the Nightmare, but she always does her job.

Scott Herman - you are right !! Sarah Perkins pitched JV for Lebanon I'm always getting Sarah Pearson's name wrong because of that. Even with me getting her name wrong it seems everyone recognizes that she is one very good pitcher.

Seems as though I keep seeing the Miami Valley Xpress teams coming up here. Two others in their organization with Dave Brittinghams team would be Lauren Collier, Kings and Bethany Campbell, Lebanon.

I was also at the Massillon tournament, and saw some great pitchers. I was just woundering if anyone new anything about this Hutchison girl, that played for the Sunraze? I was talking to some of the college coaches that where around the park and many of them spoke highly about her, I also saw her at the Akron prospect camp and she competed very well.

Christina Hutchison- Lakeside- Sunraze

Coached against her a number of times. She is a very good hitter (power and average), strong pitcher and always wants to win. She was a good winner when they beat us and showed good sportsmanship when we won. She is the kind of player you want on your team.

She's a freshman at Poland, as is Gabriel - watch out for poland in the next 4 years!!

Polands program suffered a hit this year. Their softball field is now a parking lot. Not sure whats in store for their program.

Here are a list of pitchers that I've seen over the past 3/4 years and how I would rank them. Now I know I will offend someone, so I will apoligize in advance...lol. Also feel free to PM me if you both differ or agree. Chances are I will respond if you are someone I recognize by name, but if you are someone who uses multiple screen names I will not respond...lol.

You also need to consider Corry Roubright from Walsh Jesuit/Indy Dream Gold 2010

Add Jenna Modic to your Freshman list. 2012 Poland/Valley Extreme Blue

With regards to the Poland Seminary H.S. fields. The new fields will be located at the PCBA complex at North Elemantary. We will have a JV field #1 and the Varsity will be playing on field 3 closest to the road. The field is getting new drainage this year along with new dugouts. Hopes are to add a press box and scoreboard. School District stepped up to assist with some improvements and PCBA & Softball Club will work together.

A softball field will NOT be a blow to this program or community. We will play on ANY patch of dirt and grass that comes available. You almost didnt mention the big addition our program has this year. NEW TURF FIELD so in the spring when most teams are in gyms, parking lots or wherever our girls softball program will be in one endzone and the boys baseball team will be in the other. Who knows maybe even under lights!!!!!

Thanks
