Yes, but 14U is not high school . She is a freshman, and it looks from the stats she struggled. Lexington always has a tough team and has good pitching. Holly's older sister was also good. This team played 16U winter ball and was tough. One game doesn't make a season, so Wooster will get better. The need some hitting. Keep in mind the posting are what someone thinks. The posting from other coaches I learn from. watch.

I haven't seen the stats (obviously since I asked who pitched), but she'll be fine---Casey Kelly is a very good pitcher. I'm sure some nerves played a part into it..first game as a freshman in high school is always tough!

You are correct softballcat12. People posting forget she is a Freshman. When you play varsity and against a good high school team, she is pitching against 19,18,17, 16 year olds who also play travel ball. That is why she got hit hard. You are asking alot for a Freshman to handle varsity the first year in any position, but pitcher, that is real tough!!!! The speed that worked against 13 and 14 year olds , won't work against the older girls.

holly IS a good pitcher. ? is lexington strong throughout their order?? ? how many seniors did they lose?? ? ?i know they lost leah, but how many others and are they doing well so far?? ? ?we played loudonville a week ago and devon butler looks great, but they are young. (not OCC of course)
clear fork lost a great pitcher with stephanie stallard, but sophomore rachel wilson is doing well...also a member of the lady lasers(purple)? helps herself by hitting over .435 last year as a freshman and doing well again this year.

orrville is putting together a real fine team as well...defense is solid.

Grove City H.S has a young pitcher in Myers ( Freshman ) and Worthington Kilbourne new young picher should win the starting job soon and U A I think has a Freshman pitcher that looks good.
