I stand corrected george I was given hopeful info on that
As for Towenlye, do you think it gets any better pitching at Grove City?
Behind Myers for 2 years or Gillian for a year - IMHO Townley is as good as the #2 at Ready.
If coach at Grove City is smart, he would throw Townley and Zuffle, give Myers more rest so she has more power come tournament run. Zuffle in particular is a good pitcher, just didn't get the chance at her old school and when she did she was awesome!!! Anyway with Townley and Zuffle, that tandem and the Grove City defense will beat 95% of the schedule, so rest Myers to keep that 68 plus fastball!!!!

Nope, it doesn't get any better pitching at Grove City. She'll still be behind Myers, but at least her family won't be paying $6500 tuition to be #2. I don't think that Zuefle pitches anymore, and enjoys playing 1st base.

That is too bad about Zuffle, heard she was pitching again. That kid can bring it and should be pitching. Maybe an email to her high school coach.....

Many pay the $ for the value of the education.

Simply paying $6500 a year doesn't make the education any better than attending public schools I'm sorry to say. We have a kid at our school that scored a 35/36 on the ACT, and can write his ticket to any college he chooses and his fees were only $35 this year.

Holly Tomaszewski. Plays 18U for the Ohio Freeze, NC Thunder and GFOD Thunder before that. OCC Pitcher of the year and Divn 2 Honorable mention. High School Lexington. Should set a high school record for K's.

Let me rephrase that. :) The value of a Catholic education.

Rephrase all you want, but the Catholic kids that came into my public high school from the parochial schools were some of the WILDEST... and so are many that I know today in Catholic high schools. A lot of their families only go to church twice a year, too.

I had no idea that they take attendance at church. :)
If you would like to continue with me in PM's so we (sorry about taking it off topic) can talk about pitchers here thats cool with me.

ohlovessteelers,
I agree with BuckeyeMCS on this one, you need to use the PM when making such
generalized comments. I will leave it at that.

Addressing the thread, Paige Myers of Grove City High School and the "new" Ohio Nightmare is my pick for the best. Since the thread is about the plural of pitcher meaning "many", I will have to go to my list and get back to it later.

ohlovessteelers, what exactly are you trying to say? I think that statement might have a hint of ignorance.

When can h.s. players verbal?

Ok I think you meant sign their NLI and I found the dates, I knew I had it someplace:

For Prospective Student-Athletes Enrolling in the 2009-2010 Academic Year

All Other Sports Includes Softball (Early Period) November 12, 2008 - November 19, 2008

All Other Sports Includes Softball (Regular Period) April 8, 2009 - August 1, 2009

This is in regards to NCAA 1 and II

Div 3, NAIA schools and JC's are not members of the NLI program, but many NAIA schools and JC's do use NLI ran by their conferences or even the school itself. The NAIA and JC rules are alot more re***ed IMO and I just dont have a handle on them at all :lmao:

These are some of the pitchers I've watched here in Ohio over the last three years and have liked what I've seen and will cont. to keep an eye on. This is how I would rank them. I know this will change through out 2009...so don't get excited you can bet it will change..

1) Tess Sito (2009) Elyria/Sundogs
2) Lauren McNeil (2010) Akron Hoben/Wolfpack Black
3) Paige Meyers (2010) Grove City/Nightmare
4) Cory Roubright (2010) Cuyahoga Walsh/Indiana Dreams Gold
5) Abbey Fillez (2012) Perry/Slammers
6) Casey Kelly (2010) Wooster/Lasers Aqua
7) Brittany Fowler (2012) Avon/Slammers
8) Mindy Merideth (2010) Hudson/Sapphires
9) Emma Johnson (2011) Groveport/Lasers White
10) Kelly Roudabush (2011) Hilliard Darby/Nightmare

I would rank Roudabush,Kelly, Meredith, and Johnson much higher than Fowler and Fillez. There are two Freshman IMO that have done the job at 16u and 18u for the past couple years in Erin Gabriel from Valley Extreme and Poland (who should be in the top 3), and Mandi Abbruzzese of the Nightmare and DeSales. Both are proven and every bit as talented as the above mentioned frosh.
Again, only one freshman in Gabriel should be mentioned as a top 10 in Ohio
