Wouldn't it be great to hear from the Female hitters that face these pitchers? Dad's sitting in stands watching can't be as good as a top notch hitter going .175 consistently against a dominant pitcher. Are there are players out there willing to speek up?

I had the chance to see Paige Myers at the Miami (OH) camp in September for the first time. I will speak on behalf of the girls that faced her there, as most of them were walking back to the dugout after their at bat, SHE IS TOUGH!!!

Now thats good stuff from the players themselves. There's probably a flip side to this thread. Who do our best pitchers hate to face....(Maybe I'll get that one started tonight...^_^!)

Now that I've had a chance to empty out my crazy inbox...you have all filled up. :(

I hope this answers some of your questions I have coming in: 3 years ago a list of 36 pitchers were put together by my University's Athletic Department, once the Coaching Staff got done with it the list was comprised of 10 girls, all pitchers. This list was handed down to me and I was put in charge of watching these girls from Ohio. HOW these girls got on the original list...I do not know! What I can say is that there has only been a couple added and removed. Most of the rankings you see that I put up are from the performance of the last year and a half. I can assure you that it will be changing soon. NO I can not say which University I'm from because some of these girls are being pressured and tugged on by my competitors. Coming out on this forum unfortunately will hurt two girls but help me shorten the playing field on the ones I want. Sorry for that. Realistically I will only get a couple of these girls. The other question commonly asked of me...all I will say is that I am very far west of the Mississippi!

If you would like to talk about this I would love to listen. I will be watching a lot of the Ohio girls at the Compuware, Mich. in June and Gapps in Columbus, Ohio, just look for the guy with a Blue wind breaker and a blue covered laptop..call me John. Thanks I hope that really helps out my mailbox..later everybody and good luck girls! ;)

My "pitch" for Mindy Meredith of Hudson HS and the Sapphires ... (yes, I am biased)

2007 - Pitched Hudson to the State Championship, as a freshman. Shut out defending state Champ Hoover with EVERYBODY back in Regional Final, shut out returning runner-up Elyria in the State Championship game. On the way to the state title, she beat 4 out of the top 5 teams in the state ... there was no shortcut for Meredith or Hudson that year, which made it VERY special for the team, school, town.

2008 - Under a new coach, the team and Meredith stumbled just a bit with some rebuilding, and after losing her pitching guru to KSU. Team made it into Regionals, where Meredith again shut out Hoover for 8 or 9 innings before they finally erupted and put Hudson away on their way to the State title again over Elyria.

During her first 2 years of High School she has led Hudson deep into the State playoffs, and beaten VERY quality teams loaded with college talent and prospects. Hudson had chances to put Hoover away last year also, and may well have won back-to-back State Titles (this is a reach of course) but her efforts interruptd Hoover's 3-peat, and nearly held them to a one & done with their "super soph's" of 2006.

Not as familiar as many with the 2 others being debated here Bryson (although I am a Perrysburg grad ironically), and Meyers. Just making sure that a remarkable job by Meredith (so far) as a frosh & soph is not lost in the dust! Good luck to them all!

She isn't in high school yet, maybe only a 2nd or 3rd grader, but little Belinda McIntyre is throwing close to 54 and has made unofficial visits to Arizona, UCLA, Texas, and Baldwin Wallace. Twinkles(her nickname) was seen with her parents in luxary boxes of each Universities homecoming football games! Maybe she'll crack 444444 top ten list! Her uncle was seen wearing a Georgia Academy jacket, so you know where she will be this summer?

Rephrase all you want, but the Catholic kids that came into my public high school from the parochial schools were some of the WILDEST... and so are many that I know today in Catholic high schools. A lot of their families only go to church twice a year, too.

easy there big fella!

Faith Tessmer is the real deal. She is a workout junkie. I have watched her throw and workout. A very intense girl who has a ton of talent. Should be fun to see what she does this year.

forum,
Always an enlightening and subjective topic... My pick for #1 would be Ms. Sito, none of the others are closer than #3 when compared to her...

I believe GAPPS and Compuware will go along way to answering this question later this coming summer. I think their are a couple of kids in the believed to be 6-10 spots that will show everyone just what they are made of at those Big Time events, and then again at ASAs.

It's certainly going to be a ton of fun tracking all these great pitchers, as they all have worked hard enough to craft their skills for all of us to be chatting them up.

GREAT JOB LADDIES, and keep up the good work. We're all watching and rooting for you.

Most of the teams only get to see their own local action until summer ball heats up....should be a great season from all parts of Ohio to see some great pitching from all parts of the state....notables we have seen in SW Ohio are Pearson, Wear, Locker, Fishback....Express are always deep...alot of underclass(wo)men coming up will turn heads...Sara Mars, Shelby Engle, Lizzy VanSant, Jo Baker, just to name a few......should be a fun season to watch HS ball and then see them perform on their summer teams.

The two Nightmare freshman pitchers for DeSales, Mandi Abbruzzese and Haleigh Breuer, transferred out of DeSales at the end of the semester. They have transferred to their public high schools.

Breuer now attends Olentangy and Abbruzzese now attends Upper Arlington.

They will be missed at DeSales, but DeSales is still strong with sophomore Kelsey Seeds of the Nightmare pitching for them.

I am sure Breuer and Abbruzzese will be a great addition to their new high schools.
