Umpire at ASA states

Ive talked about this before. I cannot stand umpires who think the game and attention is all about them. I saw it again this weekend. I actually heard this umpire tell someone, Im gonna get this game over in 55 minutes. He spent more time flirting with all the women coaches and women fans than paying attention to the game!!!!! what a joke for an umpire. Overall, the umpiring was very good , but this guy needed a 20 by 20 picture of himself hanging on the backstop so he could look at it in between pitches!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: The kind of guy that will make some off the wall call so everyone has to look at him. He may need to retake the test also because I saw him make a call that was absolutely wrong. He obviously doesnt know how wide home plate is either. A ball 6 inches off the plate is a ball, not sure he knows its supposed to cross over the plate. Better yet, lets get one of those team banners and make it a picture of him so he can carry it to every game he supposedly umps!!:lmao:

Aw come on, this happens occasionally. I do agree that the strike Zone was a bit WIDE, but the calls were consistant for BOTH teams so you adjust. Since my GD pitches I did sit directly behind home plate for all the games she played. Don't let this distract from the fact that the tourney was well run, Wolfpack did an excellent job and it wasn't THEIR choices for umps, or problems in that area.

You are right, it was well run. I did say the umpiring was very good overall. This guy was wanting all the attention. You obviously saw the same thing!:cap:
