I personally think the whole thing is a bit weird but there really are no written rules for this realm called travel softball. If he is going to offer girls Boombahs and CF6's he has the right to do it anytime anywhere because there really are no outright regulations on recruiting players etc. You have girls jumping ship all the time and coaches changing organizations when they feel the need. I personally don't see the need to get upset or "warn" patents about this Billy Fire guy. Don't you think the parents of good players can tell when try are being ****ered, seduced, what have you?

I don't care who it is or what the "rules" are ... actively recruiting players in May for the next year just isn't right in my opinion ... let them at least play on their current teams the next couple of months ... there's nothing they can really do about it at this time anyhow, and why create any chaos or ill feelings on their current teams? And by the way, I'm not sure about when the line gets crossed re: amateur status if you are offering $300 "gifts". I might have worded it differently than Dan did, but if there's someone out there doing this who is starting up their 4th organization in less than a year, then I think people have the right to be "educated" ... just my opinion. And to answer your question Lewam, yes, there are going to be many parents out there who don't know any better ...

There needs to be warnings sent out about this character. He is a smooth talker and takes advantage of parents that are relatively new to travel. He will take your money and sit your kid if you question anything he does, including team finances. He will refuse to give you your money back when you walk away. Then you will go to court and win but still never see a penny because he doesn't work. He has been asked to leave at least 2 rec leagues that I know of and has burned through 4 travel orgs in less than a year....he is a master manipulator and getting worse by the day. People deserve a heads up. I could go on and on but just have to say kudos to the person that posted this warning....keep your eyes open friends!
